Tuesday nights happenings...

So yesterday , after school, the boys did home work, and I got them ready for a night at the soccer fields and ball diamonds. When Adam got home, Bryce and I headed to the "muth" where Mr. Show off's foot was at 100% again!! Bryce did AMAZING!! He got a goal, that shocked just about everyone. He went towards the net, and stopped the ball with his foot, to back it up, and redirect it around a boy, and kicked it in!! As I was texting Adam to tell him he scored, he scored again!!! As that one was sending, he scored again!!! The texts I sent Adam looked just like this....text 1...Bryce just got an awesome goal, redirecting at around a kid (6:31pm) text 2...He just scored again (6:33pm)...text 3...and again!! (6:33pm) Adam's reply was 3 goals??? After his first goal, his asst. coach asked me if his foot was better, and I said he's back to about 100%. After the 3rd goal, she asked what I fed him tonight? I replied with 4 chicken tenders with ranch. She then said, for the rest of his life, before every game, he gets 4 chicken tenders with ranch. It was too funny. Bryce was then put on defence, which kind of bummed him out. But they ended up winning 8-0. Sometimes we need to let the other team get a goal in as well. Especially when 1 of the girls on the other team has been a class mate of his for 2 years!! While walking to the van, excited and ready to call Grandma KayKay, I realized the set of keys I had were not the ones I should have. Mine were locked in the van, along with my spare (in my purse) AHHH I called a wrecker and he was out in about 10 minutes. Happened to be a guy that comes see me at work often. Bummer!! O well, thats what I pay my insurance for!!

Bryce and I ran thru McDonalds drive - thru and we were off to Reese to watch Drew's game that had already started. We showed up at the bottom of the 1st. We were down 0-9 before we got up. We got 5 runs in the 1st inning, making it 5-9. The 2nd inning, we got 3 runs, they got 0. 8-9. 3rd inning, they got 1 run, we got 4.....12-10!!! (We're up!!) 4th inning, they didn't score, and that was that. The game was called for time. (9pm.) WE WON!!! The first inning they had gone thru their line up once and were on the way thru it a 2nd time so it took a long time (although we missed the bad part.) Drew struck out the first time he was up, although we were still very happy, b/c he was swinging the bat! The 2nd time he was up, he got walked. (good eye buddy) On over thrown pitches, he stole 2nd, 3rd and home where he had to SLIDE!!!!!! He did GREAT and was SAFE!!! He did slide just a bit too early, and had to scoot his foot up a bit to get the base, but he was none the less safe!! My heart was beating!! I think I was more nervous then he was. We definitely froze sitting out there, but it was a GREAT evening!!

We are extremely proud of both our boys!! We were off for home and into bed by about 9:15pm. Tonight consists of t-ball practice and concession stand work (adam ~ ty baby) Tomorrow we get to repeat Tuesday night, except Drew has an early game that we won't make it to. He plays at 5:30 and Bryce plays at 6:00. (hopefully I don't repeat the keys being locked in the van)

Thanks to "G" and Papa for weathering the cold and coming to watch both boys play!! Its great that they have such loyal and faithful fans in you two!

the last few BUSY days

Wednesday night, Drew had his first scrimmage of the ball season. I don't think anyone really kept score, but our boys did well. I believe Drew was 6th in the batting order, hitting off a VERY good pitcher. NO ONE before him got a hit off him, but Drew DID!!! It was a pop up, and ended up being caught but what a great way to start the season. "G", Adam and I were all VERY impressed. The next 2 times he was up, he got walked, and ended up coming home both times as well. They learned a lot and I think had a lot of fun.

After I got out of work on Friday, I picked Bryce up from school and took him to St. Mary's med express. He seemed to be babying his right foot for about a week now, and we thought it was time to see what he did to it. They took 3 x-rays of it, and decided it wasn't broke, but think he pulled the ligament that runs the bottom of your foot. Possibly while playing soccer and being in the "pile" of kids all kicking the ball. Maybe he got kicked, who knows. We just know he hasn't been "full force" playing for a week. We were told to stretch it on a can of soup and ice it. They wrapped it and we were off.

Friday night Adam and I tried out the boys new baby sitter. She is 15 and lives next door. She will watch the boys in the summer when "G" and Papa or Grandma KayKay are busy. She got here about 6:20 and met the boys. Bryce showed her around a bit while Drew did home work!! (yes home work on a Friday night, possibly trying to impress his new babysitter?!?!) When we left, Bryce and the babysitter were playing on the new air hockey table. Bryce beat her but I think she was taking it easy on him, til she gets to know him better, LOL. He goes full force in all sports, LOL. They said they played PIG outside. She said they were a "JOY" WOW!! We will have her over a few more times before we throw her into an 8-9 hr shift in the summer.

Saturday we all got up early, and headed in different directions. Adam and Drew headed to Reese for baseball pics at 8:40AM. Bryce and I headed to Frankenmuth for a soccer game at 9AM. BRRRR was it cold. The wind wouldn't stop. Drew's pics got done rather quickly, and they were on their way to the soccer game. Bryce played the 1st quarter, sat the 2nd, played the 3rd and sat the 4th, as his foot was bugging him. He was limping around quite a bit. He didn't want to sit 2 times, but didn't really argue with us either. We got home and iced it. After about 45 minutes at home, we were off again. Drew had opening ceremonies at noon, having to be there at 11:30. He then played his first game against a really good friend of his. They ended up loosing 11-2. Was a very good learning game, as our infield had many mistakes. Hopefully they learned how to back each other up, and will improve as we go along. Drew didn't do as well as he did at his scrimmage. I wonder if the uniforms change things in their minds. They played against the team they had just scrimmaged, but looked like a different team. I told Drew, it's just clothes, same team. Nothing different. O well. They had a good time, and thats all that counts. Drew left with his good friend that just beat us, for the evening. Adam, Bryce and I walked over to find Tommy playing. We watched him for a bit and played with that CUTE little brother of his. What a different between Majors and Minors. Then we walked over and found my friend from works daughter playing softball. Stayed there for a bit, but with the wind blowing so bad, we decided we had enough sand on our faces. UGH. Off to nap then get dinner and Drew.
Drew is 6th from the left. (looking left)

(CLICK ON PICS TO MAKE THEM BIGGER)

Drew is 4th.

Sunday we woke up, and went to Church. Drew had to acolyte. It was also confirmation at our Church. It was a long service, but we all made it thru. We ran home, changed our clothes, threw a veggie tray together and were off to Grandma's house. (boys great Grandma) to help clean up her yard and move stones. The boys had a blast riding around on Uncle Mike's 4 wheeler, hauling leaves and stuff. Bryce painted Great Grandma's cross with his cousin. They even got out their flag football set and had a short game of that. While the BIG boys were cutting down a tree and had the whole family EXCEPT 2 watching, Bryce and his cousin Alec were playing catch. Alec was the catcher and Bryce was pitching it to him. I think Alec was quite impressed for a 6 yr old. They were budding it up a bit more and went on a few 4 wheeler rides. We grilled hot dogs and brats and celebrated a few birthdays. Had cake and ice cream. I think we got lots done, but there is lots more to get done.

I rambled on long enough. Off to clean house and put laundry away for a bit. This week we have Soccer and Baseball Tuesday and Thursday nights. T-ball practice Mon and Wed nights. Concession stand Wed night. Adam goes to a foot Dr. on Friday while Bryce and I go on his end of the year field trip!! Can't believe this school year is about done!! CRAZY!!

Soccer up-dates

Saturday Bryce had his 2nd soccer game. They won 3 OR 4 to 0...he couldn't remember, but anyways, they didn't let anyone score on them...UNTIL last night. Last nights game ended tied 3-3. Oh well. He didn't score last night, but he also didn't let any of the 3 goals in. He sure does run a lot out there, makes me tired just watching him. Thanks to Grandma Kay Kay, "G" and Papa for coming out to support him!! He loves having family there.

Tonight Drew has a scrimmage at 6:30.

I am off to try to finish moving all these UGLY white landscaping stones to the back......so we can get some curb appeal going on out here. Wonder if it's called curb appeal when you don't have curbs?!?! Anyways, gotta love yard work...UGH

Bryce's t-ball schedule....

Hello. I have Bryce's t-ball schedule, for those that have been waiting for it. He plays for pompei's and wears YELLOW!!!

Opening ceremony is on Saturday May 3rd at 12 noon. at diamond 1. (in the Reese park) He then plays at 1pm.

All other games start at 6pm. He either plays at the field at the middle school or the field at the elementary school. There is NO concession stand and NO seats at these fields, so you will need to bring a chair and a drink if you need something. Also, if anyone needs directions, please get ahold of me. Both fields are basically located behind the schools. Elementary school one is back by the circle drive and middle school is kind of between the middle school and elementary school (parking lot in between.) Just look for little yellow boys!!! LOL

Monday May 5th.....6pm....Middle school field (pictures at 5:30)

Wednesday May 7th....6pm.....Middle school field (has a soccer game and a t-ball game this night, will post which one he's going to when I know!!)

Wednesday May 14th.....6pm....Elementary school field

Monday May 19th...6pm....Elementary school (he will NOT be at this game due to his spring concert at 6:30)

Wednesday May 21st...6pm...Middle school field

Wednesday May 28th...6pm...Elementary school field

Monday June 2nd...6pm....Elementary school field

Bryce DOES have 1 soccer and t-ball game on the same night!!! Not sure which one he will choose, but I will post it when I know. That is the night of May 7th.

There are some nights where BOTH boys are playing in Reese, but Bryce plays at 6pm and Drew plays at 7:15 so you can go to both except on June 2nd. Drew plays at 5:30.

FYI: DREW wears RED!!! Just like last year!!!

Bryce had his first soccer game tonight in the spring part of the league. He still plays on the same team he did in the fall. They won 4-0. Bryce had 1 cleat come flying off during a kick into the goal (making the whole audience laugh), 1 great save, 1 assist and 1 GOAL!!! WTG buddy!! Your family is so proud of you. He LOVES to play and is very good. It was quite windy there but I did take 2 pictures after the game. We video taped the whole thing (sooo glad we got that video camera for Christmas).

Here is his schedule.

Saturday 4/19.....11am field 6 wearing gray

Tuesday 4/22.....6pm field 6 wearing gray

Saturday 4/26.....9am field 6 wearing red

Tuesday 4/29.....6pm field 6 wearing red

Thursday 5/1.....6pm field 7 wearing gray

Wednesday 5/7.....6pm field 6 wearing gray

Saturday 5/10.....10am field 6 wearing red

Tonight he played on field 6...which is off from the road...straight in the middle of all the fields, 2nd little goal field...(there are 2...1 in front of the other.) I will always have my cell if anyone needs help finding us. Hope to see some family there. Thanks to "G", Papa and Aunt Robin for showing your support tonight!!!

the big hair cut day

I picked the boys up from school, and took Drew to go see Jim the barber (in Reese) Drew insisted that he wanted his hair cut. I made sure to ask before we went in if he was sure he wanted it cut and he said yes. So I took before and after pics. Here they are. We also ran into my favorite little men ever, them cute little fellas I used to baby sit. (You know who you are!!) The little guy even climbed up into the booster seat all alone, with lots of coaxing. He was too cute sitting there and as usual being the life of the "party" I love you little man, and miss you tons!! Love your hair cut too. Good jump climbing up and down from the booster!! Such a big boy your growing up to be!!

Ok, here's the pics.

smiling before hair cut

all of Drew's hair as it was falling off!!!

during the hair cut

all done and smiling.......til we leave

Drew HATED it as soon as we left and cried for awhile, but I think he's getting better. He is the one that wanted it cut. We NEVER once told him he needed to. Totally his idea. It will grow back. I think it looks good, I just need to get used to it!! Big change

This just in....I guess he still don't like it, b/c he just came down stairs after laying in bed for 45 minutes crying about his hair cut, and asked me to shave the rest off. He never told Jim how short to go, he told him to ask me. WOW what drama. I think it looks great!!!

our adventure some weekend!!!

On Thursday I built the boys a fort in the living room to sleep in. It was really neat (toot my own horn) this was the biggest and neatest one I've made for them. Of course while building it, Molly needed to see what was going on, and she climbed on the top blanket and knocked it all down!! Stinker. The boys posed for a few picture for me.

Saturday after Adam got out of work, he stopped and picked up one of Drew's friends and then the boys. When I got out, we took the 3 boys to Bay City and went bowling. Bryce did bumpers, and was SOO funny. We went to Alert lanes and after you throw your first ball, the t.v. screen shows you where to aim, so you can get your left over pins. Bryce would throw one, then run back to look at the t.v. He'd follow the arrow with his finger in the air, and say, "ok, I have to aim this way!!" My parents came to watch. My mom and I were laughing so hard at him. After he threw both balls, he'd run back, look at the t.v. to see what his score had jumped up to.

Drew and his friend Travis had to bowl on the lane with Adam and I. We bowled for an hr. Bryce probably bowled 3 or 4 games, since he was alone. We only got 1 and a half games in. Oh well. When it was getting down to the last few minutes, Drew and Travis jumped over to the bumpers and were farting around there. I do remember Bryce's best score was 104. I think Drew's was 86. Adam of course kicked everyones butt. My best was 122. LOL I'm not the best, but the boys sure had a great time. We need to take time to do that more often. It was lots of fun. After bowling, we took them to pizza hut where they were perfect angels. I think our waitress was new, and she seemed to be on the floor alone. It took a bit for our food, but she was great with refills and cleaning the table off. The boys were coloring and taking about girl friends in the 5th grade. We were getting lots of info from the silly boys, so no one seemed to mind that we waited awhile. It was a great evening.

On Sunday after work, Bryce and I finished his home work. Drew grabbed our huge pad of paper and made what he says is the worlds largest paper airplane. Here is a pic of it.

The other BIG, HUGE, GIGANTIC news from us is that I will pick the boys up from school on Wed (my day off) and take Drew to see Jim the barber in Reese. Drew wants to cut all his LONG hair off. I guess 3 of his friends cut theirs over spring break, so he says he wants to now. I think we will cut it all off once for the summer and then let it grow again! I LOVE his hair. We actually just got their pass ports on Thursday last week, and now he will look completely different then his pic on that. O well. I will make sure I take the camera and get before and afters!! This makes me SAD!!!

I finished my book on Saturday morning before work. It was really good. It has been a VERY long time since I've taken the time to read. I'd love to find another really good book. Maybe I will go look tomorrow on my day off. My mom-in-law has it now, then my mom wants to read it. If anyone else would like to read it, let me know. It is the mistaken identity book (about the 2 girls from MI that were in a bad accident and misidentified for 5 weeks)

a few things to add....

Today Adam was my hero and took care of the dead mouse I saw laying in the back yard, right outside of the garage door. I happened to look up yesterday morning while doing dishes, and saw it laying there. It was gross. Of course us chickens stayed in the house and laughed at him trying to scoop it up in the shovel. I think it was frozen under snow at one time.

Last week, Adam and I had a rough week, and were hardly speaking to each other. He did something that both shocked me, and hurt me. So while I was at work on Friday, I got a dozen long stem roses delivered to me.

Today while running errands, the boys picked out a flag football game at Target. We bought it, and made sure it was "cool" by daddy that we kept it. He said yes, so tonight Bryce and I played against Daddy and Drew...in our living room. I think Bryce and I won....but who's keeping track!!! It was fun and I was sweating!!! LOL WTG Bryce....we kick BUTT!! If it wasn't so cold outside, I may have allowed everyone to go out in the mud and play like the boys!!! BRRRRRRR too cold..maybe 1 day we will do that.

http://www.target.com/Lets-Just-SpongeBob-SquarePants-Football/dp/B000XP2B9U/sr=1-2/qid=1207872065/ref=sr_1_2/601-2255959-8116158?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aflag%20football&page=1

Anyways, that was our exciting day!!

Quick post about Bryce's soccer in Frankenmuth

We got a phone call last night from Bryce's soccer coach. He has a game wednesday night at 6pm. He still plays in the middle U6 fields. The fields are much smaller then the other ones. He is wearing either the gray or red like the older kids now, but the fields are much smaller still. I will have my cell on me, if anyone is coming and can't find us. This is the only game I know of right now, but will post more when we get schedule. My cell is 989-245-8684 Hope to see some family members there. He is also playing t-ball in Reese, Drew is playing in the majors in Reese and Adam is playing for Millington Up to Date (along with Tim BRO ~ IN ~ LAW) Schedules will be posted once we get them.

tidbits from the last few days

It's been a few days since I've had a chance to post on here. The boys are on Spring break this week, so it's been a bit crazy. I've walked on the days when I could find time, but not as often as I'd like to this week. Boys are home and I have to work around them now.

Both boys spent the night at "G" and Papa's on Sunday night. On Monday night, Drew went to his friends house for the night. Yesterday I dropped Bryce off to his friends house at 10:30am...he went with them to pizza hut for lunch, then to a movie and he spent the night!!! This is the first time Bryce has spend the night at a friends house without his brother!! Big step, but it means my BABY is growing up!!! AHHH!!!! Makes me very sad. I did talk to him last night, b/c his friends mom called me at work, and said he had a belly ache. I talked to him and asked if he wanted to come home, and he cried and said NOOO.....little stinker. I have talked to his friends mom this morning, and she said Bryce can come over anytime. He was VERY well behaved and they played together great!! That's my boy!! (I did tell him if he behaves, maybe they'd invited him back another time!) I am very proud of him.

Today they are going to sleep at Grandma KayKay and Grandpa RaRa's house. I have to work tonight again, then am off Thurs and Fri. Drew will be excited when he gets to Grandma's b/c while he was at his friends house, we went into Bay City with the beast and picked up a portable basketball hoop to have at their house. Drew has no idea!! Now they will have something fun to do outside while there!! OK, back to laundry!! Will post when I get time. Tomorrow we are going to get the boys passports!!

walking

Although the last few days, I haven't been able to get my walks in outside at home, I have been walking. Today, the boys, my self and my mom went to the shipsawanna (sp) in Mt. Pleasant. We didn't buy too much, but it was fun and did lots of walking.

When we got home, we all got it in the "beast" picked up "G" and Papa and went to great grandma's house. We picked up a few stones. The boys were each allowed to pick out a decent size one, as were Adam and I. We did need to be able to pick the stone up, get it in the truck and then back off when we got home. We also picked out a few smaller stones as well. THANKS GRANDMA for the stones!! We will think of Grandpa Stoney when we look at all the stones. We love you.

Friday

I didn't get a walk in today, but I did a bunch of extra stuff for my boss at work today, and in doing all that, I think I walked more then the regular 2 miles outside. I was way to beat after dinnr to get out, plus Adam and Drew had to go to town for Drew's 1st baseball practice. Adam said he did great too. Hope we have a fun exciting baseball season with both boys.

Thursdays walk

I had to work this morning, got out at about 2:15pm. Came home, checked e-mails, read mail, played with the dogs, played a game or 2 on the Internet. When the boys got home, we headed into Bay City to my parents house for dinner. My niece and I ran a few errands. After dinner, my mom and I went on her "usual" walk but she only walks about 1 mile - 3 times a day. This was the only time I had to get my walk in. The doggies didn't get to go tonight, oh well. I think tomorrow, while Drew is at baseball practice, maybe I will stay in Reese and walk thru town. Something different. I also got on the scale last night and then again tonight, and it says I lost 2 pounds. I'm not really 100% believing that, but I guess it's better then going up...LOL. Off to read and go to bed. Night folks.

Wednesdays walk(s)

Yuppers, on such a lovely day, I got 2 walks in. 1 this afternoon with Molly and 1 tonight after dinner with Daisey. So peaceful out here in the country. I am left to my thoughts and find my-self day dreaming the whole walk, especially with Daisey b/c she walks much better then Molly. She's also 4 years older too. In total, I walked 4 miles today!! I think I may get on a scale tonight too....just to see if this walking is working.

My stupid keyboard is sticking really bad...looks like we may need to purchase a new one soon. I have to push the keys down very hard, and they still don't always show up.......UGH

Night folks, I work the next 2 mornings.

~SHERRI~

Tuesdays walk

Yes, Daisey and I did go on our 2 mile walk yesterday morning...WOW was it windy...oh well. We froze, but were bundled up quite a bit. Not really cold, but very windy. Anyways, just needed to get this post in....going for my walk today, very soon.
