Drew's big championship game!!

Drew had his championship game last night. They lost 4-6, but he definitely contributed to his team last night. He got an RBI and came home and scored a run as well. He also had some great plays in the outfield! He was a very good sport about taking 2nd which was great. Unfortunately another boy on his team was NOT!! Throwing things and acting like a baby...it was AWFUL!! Drew's team got a trophy for finishing 2nd in the play offs. Adam and I talked last night and he said he'd coach next year if Drew would play his last year he'd be able to in the majors. So hopefully he will!!

Our big doggies....

The dogs went to the vet this morning, for their bordetella and heartworm check. Daisey weighs 18 pounds and Molly is up to 43!!! AHHHHH LOL Both are at very good weighs though. Molly had to get her bordetella in her nose, and she HATED it, but he said b/c its her first time getting that, thats where it has to go. She also cried when he took blood for the heard worm check. She got some treats after so she was happy as could be!!

Daisey has a left ear infection and is getting medicine for it. She has to have drops every other day. She also got a shot to get the medicine started for the infection. She did great as usual. You can definitely tell there is a 5 year age difference with them. Molly wanted to play and run and Daisey sat and was great.

My friends daughter went and helped me, b/c my 2 were gone fishing with "G" and Papa. Thanks Melissa!!

Lumber jacks

While attempting to mow the lawn last week, I got hit in the face by 2 medium size branches that had been snapped from the wind and storms we've had lately. I decided that maybe the boys would love to cut them down today on my day off. So off we were with the ladder and some hand saws. Drew informed me that he is a grown man and if he had the chain saw, it would have been much faster. He sawed and sawed and sawed, then I had to climb up, and saw a bit cuz his arm was getting sore, then he went back up and cut the rest. Then we went to the other branch, but it was a bit too high for Bryce, so he tried cutting it lower then where it broke off, but struggled a bit. I ended up doing that 1. They did cut down all the little things that were starting to grow around the bottom of the tree and now it looks really good. I think they had a good time. Enjoy the few pics I snapped of my lumber "MEN!

Change to Championship game

Drew got a phone call from his coach today while we were at work. According to him, the championship game is now Thursday at 6pm instead of Wednesday. We did go to Church last night, and drove thru the park, to see if the other game was on, but it wasn't. We are assuming thats why ours has been changed. So we hope some family and friends can make it Thursday now instead of Wednesday. Thanks all.

Bavarian Parade and other high lights

Drew and Bryce watching the parade.

The big duck the boys really liked.

The Bronners float.

The picture of Wally at the front of their float.

The boys and I went to the Bavarian Parade today with "G", Papa and Aunt Robin. Great Grandma sat with us as well. Uncle Bob and Connie also met up with us for awhile. We saw Brad and Ryan in the parade.

Adam got back into town tonight about 8pm. He actually met us in Bay City at Wendy's where we had gone to eat along with my parents. The boys were excited to see him, but I think I was more excited!! They won the tourney they were at, so I guess the trip was worth it. I asked him if I had to share the big bed tonight, and he said, "no, you can cleep on the couch if you want?" LOL turkey. It was nice to have the whole king size bed to my-self, but I did have a hard time falling asleep without cuddling with him. The boys slept on the couch both nights, both b/c I liked them being down here with me, and they wanted to. WTG on your home run today hunnie, and Congrats on winning the tourney. ALSO Happy Fathers Day. Hard to believe you've been a daddy for 11 years!!! CRAZY!! I love you.

Play offs....

Drew's team got 2 innings in tonight before the lightening came. It had been sprinkling for a bit, and thundering, but then it was called for a lightening delay. After about a 15 minute wait, and the lightening not stopping, the game was called and rescheduled for 1pm on Saturday. We are unsure b/c the game was tied 2-2, if they will just start a whole new game, or pick-up where it was left off at. Anyways, I had done laundry and packed today so we could go to Petosky. We went to Papios for dinner, came home, and Adam left alone. I have un-packed most of our stuff, but was quite bummed that we were unable to go. There is already 1 boy on Drew's team that is unable to make the 1pm game tomorrow, so he kind of really should be there. Adam just texted me and told me he just passed West Branch. He should be to our friends house about 11 or a little after. Anyways, I cried when Adam left, b/c I really wanted to go with him. O well. Last year, Adam and I were going thru some VERY tough times. I texted him earlier and told him how far we had come in a year. Last year I was looking forward to him leaving for this tourney so I could have a weekend away from him. This year I cried when he left. I am tearing up right now, which seems stupid, b/c he may even be home tomorrow night, if they loose. Anyways, Just wanted to post on here that he plays Saturday at 1pm, and we are still in town, well the little boys and I are.

Major's play offs

Drew's first play off game was last night. They won I believe 10-7. He got a hit and made it to 1st, stole to 2nd and 3rd on over-throws but the next guy up struck out, so he never got home! Oh well. It was a great game, and he had LOTS of family there cheering him on. They now play at 5:30 on Friday night. Hopefully they win, and won't play until Monday evening. If thats the case, we can take of to Petosky, like planned. If they lose, Adam takes off alone, and I get to stay in town for a game on Saturday. Good luck Drew!! WTG on your hit and win.

Up-date on my nephew

My sister called me on Monday afternoon, but with the storm on Sunday night, we lost power for awhile, and when that came back on, we found out that it had knocked out our dish and Internet. Adam was able to fix dish, but I was on a waiting list for Internet, therefore I was unable to post any up-dates. They came today and fixed us!! So we are back into the blogging world!! I had over 200 e-mails to read and had to catch up on every ones blogs and see the comments about an up-date on my nephew...so here goes.

They were told over the weekend to put warm compresses on the sore, and hopefully get the gunk to come to a head so they could squeeze it out at the Dr. office. I don't think it ever really came to a head, but she did take him back on Monday afternoon, and they found out that it is a staff infection, but the antibiotics they have him on are killing it. The swelling has gone down, but he does have quite a rash from the meds. His Dr would rather see the wound shrink and keep an eye on the rash, so I guess thats the plan for now. MRSA from what I understand is a form of a staff infection, but it has not been called MRSA. As long as the meds he is on keep killing it, and the swelling keeps going down, they will keep him on this, and just watch it all the time. So until I hear more, thats all I know for now. Please keep them in your prayers until he is completely out of the woods, but so far prayers have helped and he is getting better. Thanks so much for all your prayers and concerns.

A scary ordeal for my nephew in FL

Hey all. I have a prayer request once again. My sister that lives in Florida called me this morning crying. Here is the story that she told me. Last summer my nephew Gage got a red ant bite, and it never really healed. There has always been a bump from it. Well on Wednesday morning, when they got him up for his last day of school, the area around the bite was red and looked very infected and was very swollen. She called his ped. and he looked at it, put him on an antibiotic and sent him on his way. He went to school for his last day. We I guess last night the infection got worse, started going up his leg, making his leg swollen and his ankle is still swollen. (my sister's fiancee had MRSA last summer) Now they are thinking Gage has it. She called his ped. again, and has to take him in at 10:10am today. In order for them to check for MRSA they have to cut a bit of the infected area out and send it to a lab. That takes 3 days for the results to come back. With Todd having it, she knows what to look for and all the signs are the same. She is EXTREMELY worried and was crying quite a bit this morning!! After I post my prayer request on here, I am calling our Church to add him to it there. So please everyone, say an extra prayer for Gage. Lets pray that it is NOT MRSA and just a minor infection that can be cleared in a few days. Gage is 8 and a half years old. I don't have a current picture of him, or else I'd post 1 on here. Anyways, just keep him and their family in your prayers. My sister is going to either call me or my mom after they leave his Dr. appointment this morning, and let us know what they are thinking. If they think it is MRSA, but have to send the sample out and wait 3 days, he will more then likely be sent right over to the hospital and begin treatments as if it were. What a very scary ordeal for anyone, especially an 8 year old little guy!!

We are thinking about you Gage and praying things will work out, and you'll be back to normal soon!! Love ya buddy!!

Thanks everyone!

Drew and Bryce's ball games this week...

Drew played Monday night and Tuesday night so far this week. He did good, and they won both games finally. We were in a bit of a slump and lost either 4 or 5 in a row. Drew also earned 5 bucks due to a bet I made him. I told him if he got a hit and made it to 1st base, he'd get 5 bucks. IF on that same hit, he made it home, either on stolen bases or by other hits, he'd get 10 bucks. He earned 5 this week. He did make it on base a few other times, but those were due to walks. He was excited. He is definitely doing much better this year!! He has 1 more regular season game tomorrow night at 7:15, then we hear when play-offs are. I think all 4 major's teams are very close in standings also.

Bryce's last t-ball game was Wednesday night. He did great as usual. They received their ball pictures and a medal for playing. He was the catcher again. He seems to really love doing that. He told Drew the other day that he likes it because he always gets the ball. Anyways, here is a picture of him with his medal, and him with his team, coach, coaches daughter and all their medals.
Bryce is 2nd from right, standing

WTG Bryce, awesome t-ball season!!!

The boys new babysitter had her last day of school today and is now on summer vacation as well. She has watched them once, but will start on Tuesday with them on a regular basis. She seemed excited tonight when she called to let me know she was done with school and was wondering when she could come watch them. Hopefully things go well with all of them.

Thats all for now, other then Bryce is VERY excited that his friend Cory from his soccer team is coming over to play and possibly spend the night tomorrow!!! This will be their first time playing at one anothers house!!
