RIP Daisey!

Our 6.5 year old pug passed away yesterday! Such an extremely sad day, and another one today when we bury her. Thursday this past week, when I was in class, the boys said she had an accident in the computer room....VERY unlike her. Ever since then, she would hardly eat, so we thought she had a tummy ache, or maybe the flu. She did follow me up-stairs Saturday night, which is normal Dasiey. Yesterday we were getting ready to go to Caseville and Adam tried to get her out of her crate to go in the garage with the bassets. He called for me b/c she was trying to walk and fell over. I picked her up, and put her on the blanket in the garage (they can get out to their fenced area from the doggie door) and tried to get her to lick some calcium off my finger. Her teeth were clenched shut. Adam and I talked about it, and I was going to call the vet on Tuesday and get her in after class. Off to Caseville we went to spend the day at the beach with my parents who are camping. The boys saw how bad she looked and knew we were unsure what condition she'd be in when we got home, but no one expected to see what we did when we got home. The 2 bassets came running out to greet us, and Daisey was laying on the blanket. i looked at her from a ways away and didn't see her breathing. Drew and I peeked at her, then I made him go inside. I checked on Daisey and she was cold as could be. She was dead. I told Adam she was, and we were all shocked. I got Bryce out of the car, who was sleeping and told him, then walked in and told Drew. We all walked out together to look at her. Everyone crying. We still had a basset hound puppies for sale sign in our front yard, although we had decided to keep the last puppy. I told the boys it was fitting for them to go take the sign down together, so they did. We won't be selling our last baby basset, although she will most certainly not replace our pug Daisey, she will be loved and make things a little easier on the boys! Daisey will be buried today and I'll have my dad make a cross for her. I'm sure today will be a hard day too! RIP Dasiey....we love you and miss you already!

Since I am addicted to face book, I rarely ever get on here anymore....sorry! I am sitting in class right now, and just finished my last test for my 2nd mod. Since others are still working on their record book keeping/insurance billing stuff and I am done with mine, I can play on the computer! I can't leave, unless I want an absent.....so here I sit.

This week has been pretty sad for us. 4 of the 9 puppies have gone to their forever homes. They all went on Wednesday to get their 6 week old shots, but on our way there, we stopped over to their daddy's house to see him and his owners. It was pouring so we pulled into their shed, and everyone around held a puppy. I asked where Dew was (their daddy) and she informed me that Dew got hit by a car about 2 weeks ago, and was dead. I was so sad! My Molly is now a single mommy! I wanted the babies to be able to play with their daddy on Wednesday, but obviously that couldn't happen. Bryce over-heard (another story) and was crying in the back seat! Poor guy!

We are all packed and headed up to Harbor Springs as soon as I am out of class. Adam took today off work, so we can leave and get up there by about 6 we hope. A guy I grew up with in BC is getting married tomorrow! My parents are staying in their 5th wheel and we are tenting it with 5 puppies!

Ha going to play canasta with another girl in class on pogo.com be back laters!

Ok...Im back for a little bit! We are playing Gin in pogo, but she realized she had a sheet not turned in and has to get that done......

So I took Bryce into the Dr. office twice last week. Once was for some spots that have been on his legs for about a month. The Dr. thinks they are ring worm, caused by the puppies more then likely! Not uncommon to get when there are 9 puppies around. He's got to have cream put on them twice a day, and they should clear up in 6 weeks. The other appointment was for a 2nd opinion about his ears, and why things are so sensitive for him. Fire works freak the kid out! It's been 4 years since his tubes have been taken out and his regular Dr. said he'd out grow this. While in class, we talked a little about the ear, and I asked my Dr. what she thought and she suggested we see another Dr. So we did, and after many different tests on his ears, she determined that he hears at a 0 disciple (sp) and normal hearing is at 20 disciple. So basically things are extremely loud in his ears! This is not something he will out grow.....until he's old and starts loosing his hearing, then things will become "normal" for him. I am very glad that we know there is something they detected going on, and it's just not him being "used" to having his ear muffs on during fireworks. He of course thinks it is really neat, b/c she said he'd be able to hear a pin drop, or hear whispers, where you and I with "normal" hearing wouldn't. Drew says he has super powers! We found out tonight, many guys are going skeet shooting after the rehearsal, so his ear muffs are packed!

I am sitting in class, waiting for the "lady' to come thru with the ducks that people have earned for being in class every day for this mod. They have their ducks in a row, and I will receive one this mod. I didn't last mod b/c Drew had a Dr. appointment in Ann Arbor one day, so I missed. Oh well. Ok, gonna get off here, and check out my test she is handing out, then get ready to head home, and take off to Harbor Springs! Have a great weekend. I will add more puppy pictures next week, I promise!!

Sorry I'm so busy lately! Our bathroom is in the process of getting redone. I'm in school every day and study every night. Baseball....although Bryce is almost done.....Adam is still playing. Now we have puppies to play with and care for. We started with 11. We have 9 left. 1 went to the vet on Monday morning, and due to the extreme hernia, the vet thought it best to put her to sleep. Everyone else was doing amazing including mommy.....til this afternoon when we had an accident. Molly has a huge crate with her puppies in it, and she needs to adjust her self. Well she's so big and isn't used to having to watch where she rolls. We've caught it every time.....til this afternoon. I was in the kitchen and the boys were playing with their cousins. I came in to check on them and saw that Molly had rolled backward, and was sun bathing her tummy. Naturally I count puppies and only count 9.....I counted again and still 9. I start freaking out, and reached under Molly where I pulled out a puppy. I don't know how long she was under there but it was too long! I feel like I failed b/c I didn't catch it in time and am now too scared to leave her alone! So today has been an extremely sad day for us. We buried the puppy in the back yard and Bryce picked out a cute stone......I think we'll make a cross and maybe paint a name on the stone for the pup! Anyways.....enough! Here are some picks. After dinner, Bryce wanted to ride the 4 wheeler. Adam got it started, then finished mowing the lawn while Bryce was tooling around the yard. I was doing some laundry and went out to get the clothes off the line, when I see Bryce peeling out of the field......4 wheeler covered in mud! I was laughing so hard. I ran in and grabbed the video camera. This is the last one I taped, before he put it on 2 wheels and he flipped off. You can hear Adam say....he just fell off at the end of the tape. He cried b/c we ran over to him, but other then scaring him, he was fine! We put it away after that....covered in mud! Ha I laughed so hard though, watching him and not wanting him to get stuck cuz I wasn't going in to push....LOL

PRAYERS NEEDED!!!!

Please everyone pray for my cousin Kim, her husband Dan, and their two children Onalee and Zane. I posted awhile ago about him battling lung cancer. They had hoped they had gotten it all, and he was allowed to go back to work. Well I just got an e-mail with up-dates on him. It's not good! Here is what my cousin Kimmie had to say!

Yesterday, Dan and I went in for his first monthly check. His CT scan from last Sunday was not the same as his past one. The areas on both lungs are growing and the doctor seems concerned. (This of course was not the news we were hoping for.) He did go back to work today after 7 months and seemed to be excited about it.

As of today the game plan is Dan will enter Munson Hospital again in Traverse City for another week of Chemo this Monday April 27 through May 1. This is to keep the cancer "at bay." The doctor will have time to set up appointments to either to U of M, a hospital in Detroit or I U (Indiana University). At the hospital of choice they would the do a stem cell transplant. They will harvest and store Dans OWN stem cells then under go heavy dose of chemo and run his blood counts to near zero then transplant the stem cells back into him. This will then renew our lives again. The process will take approximately three weeks in the hospital and he will come home to recover for three months, GERM FREE ENVIRONMENT. I might have to ship the kids out for a couple days or weeks since Onalee is always bringing something home from daycare.

To the good news, Zane is growing fast and is healthy. He still has his nights and days mixed up but that is the life with a new born!! Onalee loves her pre school and is very sharp. I go back to work soon to ease into the routine again and I guess our house hold needs a little routine. Keep up the prayers, faith, family, and friends are invaluable.

Bryce's soccer schedule

I know I am behind at posting this, but with the bathroom remodel and the garage sale in a few weeks and the 4 days of super nice weather, I just didn't want to sit in front of the computer. Anyways.....I know a few have been asking, so here it is. He plays where he always does.....Frankenmuth by St. Lorenz Church. He's with the same team as the fall and on the same small (er) fields. I do believe there are big signs on the nets of the fields now.....or at least there was last time I drove by.

Tuesday April 21st. 6pm field 1 wearing red (we are unsure if he will be at this game b/c he has a baseball scrimmage! AHHHH)

This is more of a post so I don't ever forget the date type of thing, but may peek interest in some people! Molly, our basset hound came into heat again tonight.......we have a very suitable male for her and now need to get them together in about 10 days! Anyone wanting a basset hound, look me up in I believe 70 days (pregnant) plus 10 days before we can breed and of course 6 weeks til they can leave their mommy! Molly will be a WONDERFUL mommy! She has been the most amazing dog we have ever had! I love her to pieces, although she is her daddy's dog! She sits on the rug 5 minutes to 5 every week day, waiting for him to pull in the garage! He loves when I open the door and she runs out to him....they are too cute! So anyways.....ha didn't want to forget the date! Lets hope they can make some cute babies! In the mean time, she gets to wear a diaper (size 6...although I may need to look into some depends for her big butt) and a pair of undies to keep her diaper on! She's so cute! Dew...I hope your up for the challenge...LOL

Wednesday my mom and I met my Aunt Nancy, Aunt Mary Jo and cousin Kim with her new son at Linwood corners for lunch! It was our first time meeting the newest addition to our family. He was born on Thursday March 12th. His name is Zane. This is my cousin whose husband is still battling lung cancer, son! Such a sweet little man!

Today I went with Bryce's class to the Dentist in Reese. I snapped a few pictures of things at school, and a few pictures of him at the Dentist office.

The first picture is of Bryce's Dr. Seuss hat. As they read a book, they add a stripe to his hat. Bryce's hat is the tallest in his class and the 2nd tallest in the 1st grade. Such a kid!

This picture is of Bryce after he earned 50 AR points. His picture was put on the wall. He was the 2nd on the wall in 1st grade and the 1st in his class. After they have their picture on the wall, they earn a sticker for every 10 points. The stickers are added on Fridays. Bryce has 3 stickers on his picture this morning, so he has at least 80 AR points. He amazes me!

These last 2 pictures are of him with Mitchell and Lauren at the dentist office and of him playing on the dentist chair.

Sherri and Adam's latest project...revised

Last Thursday I decided to make a few small changes to our main bathroom, well it turned out to be bigger then a few small changes.....when Adam came home and said, you should just take the ugly paneling down.....so now this is where we are! No idea when it will be done, since we are trying to do all the work ourselves to save money...but we are well on our way! Enjoy.....LOL (I tried posting this on the 24th, but for some reason, it took forever for the pictures to post using photobucket, so I am doing them this way!)

Bryce's baseball schedule!

Bryce moved up this season to the minors in Reese! He is the youngest on his team, and there is only 1 other 1st grader. I'm not too worried about Bryce though because he just seems to have this natural ability with any sport! I hope he learns a lot being the youngest on his team! We met his coach and team on Thursday and the coach says he needs pitchers. If any of you have had Bryce pitch to you, you'd know he's really good. He has never pitched to a kid his age at the home plate though, so I am sure we'll be working on that. He has pitched to his brother though! His coach also mentioned that he only knows of 1 boy on his team so far that is a catcher (Tommy) so we may see if he'd be ok doing that too. Adam is the Assistant coach and I am team mommy! Most of his games are at diamond 2...which is the farther one from the bathrooms and the concession stand and such! The 1st 4 games are coach pitch, then the kids start pitching! Anyways, here is his schedule!

Opening day is Saturday April 25th. He has pictures at 10:20am. I think opening ceremonies is at noon and he plays at 1pm. Diamond 2.

Sherri's a college student

So it's official.....I start school on June 1st at Ross medical in Saginaw. I will be taking the 30 week course on medical assistant, and will then be able to do many things! Some of my opportunities include but are not limited to......lab assistant, medical biller, chiropractic assistant, phlebotomist, EKG tech, medical receptionist, pulmonary-function tech, medical records, pharmacy clerk, medical secretary, dialysis assistant, and admitting clerk! I will be in school Mon-Fri from 8:15am-12:35pm for 24 weeks. After the 24 weeks are done, I will start my externship in an office that I may eventually work at full time! I am extremely excited and ready to do something with my life. Although I LOVED doing day care in my home when my kids were young, I knew it wasn't something I'd do forever. When Citgo closed in September, I looked into getting in the PTA program at Delta, and recently learned there is a 5 year wait for clinicals....Drew will be in college by then. Adam and I have talked and think this is a GREAT opportunity for me and something I am very ready to do. According to all my paperwork, my last day of my 30 week program, including the 6 week of externship, my last day will be Christmas day 2009. Not that any Dr.s offices are open that day anyway! So wish me luck! : )~

Here is a very quick catch up post.

Last Saturday we went to the Saginaw Spirit game. It was a GREAT game and we won in over time 4-3!

Finally on Sunday i got an idea from someone for a dinner idea, usually I try to find different things and get sick of always seemingly making the same stuff week after week for dinner. Drew asked me to make steaks. Of course he asks this on an evening when it's snowing outside. But the good mommy that I am, I run to Norm's market and buy some t-bones. I dust off the grill and make some AMAZING steaks. Molly and Daisey loved them as well.....LOL

On Friday ~today~ I asked Drew if he was ready to go see Jim the barber in Reese today and he said, YES!!! I told the boys I'd pick them up and get at least Drew's hair cut, not knowing if Bryce was game or not. It took LOTS and LOTS of begging by mom, and maybe a little threatening ~no wii or DS~ but he got in the chair after Drew was done! Both boys look great but I think next time I will have to ask Jim not to thin Drew's hair. Bryce....absolutely but Drew don't need thinning! He will be able to see where he's running tomorrow at his ALL DAY basketball tournament and he will look nice when he acolytes at Church on Sunday!

The Cass River floods Vassar!

Our washing machine died....boo hoo so I was forced to head into Vassar this morning with 8 loads of laundry this morning. I must have been sleeping still and missed the detour signs (I don't think they were there) and had to call Adam when I didn't know how to get across the river in a different spot! I just needed to get across, and down about 2 miles.....but I was blinded by ooogggling at all the water going across the street, that I missed it. I did make it to the laundry mat, then came back into town, and realized coming from that direction, you can easily see the detour signs. I made it across right in town but snapped a few pictures along the way!

Mercury Spill at Reese = Bryce day off school

Last Thursday at the end of the day, a 3rd grader dropped a baby thermometer in her classroom, and it broke. the mercury came out, so they called the Health Dept. and were told to close the school the next day and had to call in a cleaning company! Bryce didn't have to go to bed at 9pm, but Drew did! Friday Bryce and I hung out in the morning, then about 10am his friend Alex came over to play. They played really good and enjoyed their afternoon alone! They played outside too. I snapped 2 pictures of them. Here they are!

Drew's 2nd basketball tourney!

This past Saturday Drew had another tournament in Kingston this time. They played at 9am, and won. Drew had 8 points this game! So impressive!. They then had to wait for 2 other games to be played, and they played again. We won again and Drew had 4 points! Then we had to wait for another game, then it was our last game! This last game was so good! It even went into OVERTIME!!! It was tied 30-30 at the end of the game. I don't recall any of his games going into OT before, so we were unsure what happens. They put 2 minutes on the clock and we were off again! We ended up winning in the most exciting game the boys had even played! Most of our parents were standing up and cheering and going crazy on the side lines when we scored and then when we finally won. The final score was 33-30! Drew had 2 points in this game! It was so good. When we left, it was our turn to have the 3 stooges over (Drew, Travis and Mitchell) these 3 have been inseparable for the last 4 - 5 months on weekends! The boys showered then I had to transfer their games over to DVD so they could watch themselves! It was funny listening to them laugh about how someone runs or how mad someone got during a jump ball! Anyways, our Saturday was great!

Drew's 1st 6th grade basketball tourney!

This past Saturday, Drew had his first basketball tournament as a 6th grader. We were hoping he'd have 1 maybe the weekend before, so "G" and Papa could have made it to a game before they left for AZ, but it wasn't in the cards for them this year. they left very early Saturday morning, so had to hear all about the games via texts and now pictures!

They had 2 "gimmie" games to get the tourney set up! They won both of these games and were seated against the other undefeated team. In their first game, Drew didn't score at all, but did get rebounds. he is one of the taller kids on his team, and actually jumps for them! So impressive! In the second "gimmie" game, Drew had 6 points! In one of his shots, he was fouled and went to the line. he made both of these! I was so impressed!!!

In our first official tournament game, Drew didn't score, although he did try a few times, but he got a lot of rebounds again! We are so glad he actually jumps for the ball, where some other kids don't yet! We won and were 1 of the final 4 teams left! Because the kids are young, they play half court, the opposite way the HS teams play, so 2 games are playing at once. I don't really know how they keep track of who gets knocked out in 4th and who gets 3rd but we got knocked out in this round! It was the BEST game of the day and my poor son worked his little heart out! He jumped for the start of the game.......against a 13 year old 6th grader who was 5' 11"!!! Get this....DREW GOT THE BALL!!! He jumped and the other kid didn't and Drew hit it and passed it to his player! OMG I was going NUTS! I was sooo proud of him. This tall kid on the other team played the whole game except maybe 10 seconds! Poor kid! Drew was also put in A LOT to guard this kid. The times Drew took a break, the other player on his team, suppose to be blocking the tall kid....just didn't do it, so Drew would get put back in! If our kids jumped for the rebounds, we'd get it, because this tall kid just didn't jump. Drew guarded him so well! Drew also scored a few times too! We most certainly didn't lose because of lack of trying, they just played a bit better although it was a very close game! I am so proud of Drew and can't wait til this weekend, when we play again in Kingston! Here are a few pictures. Bryce's birthday party!

I have been so addicted to face book that I haven't posted on here lately. Most of the pictures I put on here today are already on face book, but not everyone that reads this is on FB. Anyways....

Bryce turned the big 7 on Jan. 13th. On Jan 18th we celebrated his big day with lots of family here! Here are some pictures of our fun day!

This was the morning of his actual birthday. Before school he asked if he could open 1 present! This is currently the boys favorite game to play on the play station, and I was so excited to find it for his DS!

"G" bought Drew an electric toothbrush for Christmas, and at that time Bryce didn't want one. NOW he did....LOL He was so looking forward to this too! He's so goofie.

I attempted to try something different for his cake this year! I looked into this a bit on the computer and really wanted to see if I could do it. What ya think?!?!

Bryce also helped put the licorice to complete the soccer ball! He LOVED it. It was a surprise to him. Here he is about to blow out his candles!

My cousin Tracy's daughter LOVES boys and really took to Adam's cousin Kyle. She'd even try to pull his hand down from his face for the pictures! She also gave Kyle's brother Alec a kiss and said "up" to him. he wasn't real sure what to do, and we all laughed. She is such a ham!

Yup, that's Emma in yet another boys arms! She just loves Adam and is always with him. She says she's his girlfriend! lol

Ok, so something happened to the SD part of my computer and I couldn't bring up any pictures....ahhhhh! I chatted with Joe in facebook last night, who had me do a few different things, but I still couldn't get it to work. I ran into Caro today and bought a SD card reader and can now up-load pictures again! I have LOTS I need to post on here, but am waiting for Adam's parents to get here for dinner, then Adam and I are heading to his basketball game, while "G" and Papa stay with the boys and get them ready for bed! Therefore, I will post what I can and add more tomorrow!

I've hit 1 year!

Hard to believe I've been blogging for 1 year tomorrow! I wasn't sure if I started it on Bryce's birthday or a few days before, so I had to go back and look. Tomorrow my baby turns 7! Where the bleep has the time gone?!?! It's unbelievable to me that 7 years ago today I was induced! So crazy!

What's even crazier is that my little buddy Emily Brandt has been gone for 20 years tomorrow. (it may be 19 but I am almost positive it's 20!) Wow I cried a lot today just thinking of where I was 20 years ago, and how it all went down. I think about Emily ALL the time and I miss her more and more every day! She was taken away from us way way too young! 6 years old just isn't fair! Although she was only here for 6 years, she was such an amazing little girl and meant so much to me! She was my buddy and now she watches over my little buddy! She is definitely Bryce's guardian Angel. I sit here right now thinking about how crazy it is that Bryce was born on Jan 13th! Adam and I had tried for about 4 months before I got pregnant and I think it must have taken 4 months for a reason! I know she is watching over him and she will be on his shoulder thru out his life. Although he never got to meet her, she's with him! How I miss her! Tomorrow my brother and I are meeting at the funeral home for an old neighbor who passed away on Saturday (which was Adam's 32nd birthday) Mike Studders R.I.P. I also plan on going to Emily's grave site! It's hard to do this with snow on the ground, because her grave stone sits level with the grass, but just being there where she is on the death of her anniversary will mean a lot to me.

I don't want to end this on a sad note, so I'll end it on a HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY tomorrow BRYCE! I LOVE YOU!

Thanks for letting my pour my heart out. Emily Brandt I miss you more and more all the time and I look at your pictures all the time!

Up-date on my cousin's husband!

Hi all. I got an e-mail from my Aunt with an up-date on my cousin Kim's husband who has lung cancer. I thought maybe some of you that were keeping them in your prayers would want to know!

This is what she had to say!Dan seems to be doing O.K. The chemo treatments do not make him nauseous, he is blotted and is always tired. He has lost all of his hair and unable to tan his head, looks rather strange. He's always wearing a hat and always has a big SMILE. Yes, he has completely stopped smoking but enjoying a beer once in a while! He will spend next week (Mon. through Fri.) in the Traverse City Hospital again for his third chemo treatment. Kim and Onalee get real lonesome that week and it sounds like he will have to do at least one more treatment for sure. His blood work has been good ( a plus) but we don't know anymore. They said some spots on his lungs have shrunk but he still has many more to go. They may try the Cyber knife next but we don't know where or when.

His wife (my cousin) is pregnant and having a scheduled c-section on March 12th. She has been good so far and is hanging in there. She did just develop Gestational Diabetes but is being closely watch. She will be 43 next month I believe! Anyways, please keep them in your prayers, as it seems to be helping! Thanks guys!

CONGRATS to my little guy!

Just a quick shout out to Bryce for achieving the end of the year AR goal of 50 points, in JANUARY! He gets to go on the end of the year trip with Mr. Grysko! Now he will earn paper money on Fridays and can spend them right away on smaller items, or save them til the end of the school year for a bigger item! Bryce your a crazy reader and we are so proud of you! He's the first in his class to achieve this!

Christmas cut out cookies!

A few nights ago, Drew asked if we could make cut out cookies. I cheated and bought 2 things of sugar cookie pre-made dough and tonight we had an adventure! Both boys got their own roll, and used our cookie cutters along with the roller and flour, and had a good time! Flour on clothes and the floor and I didn't care! Drew got bored after a while, but Bryce, Adam and I hung in there. After they were all cut and baked, the boys showered so they could cool! Once the boys were clean, we made frosting with powdered sugar, and milk then each boy picked out a color of frosting to make. Of course mom said we needed red and green. Drew picked orange and Bryce picked lime green. I had pulled out all of our sprinkles and such and away they went! Both boys had a great time. Their only rule was if they licked their fingers they had to go wash them! We had sprinkles and frosting all over the table and even some on the floor! The boys had so much fun! I told Bryce he was such a big helper and he said, "yeah cuz it was awesome!" It was very time consuming, but well worth it.

The boys also went to the Dentist today and neither had any cavities, and both check-ups were great! Then we went to see Jim Stockmeyer and got hair cuts! Not too short but cleaned up for Christmas! Now I have 2 handsome little boys again!

Saturday evening we had a Christmas party with Adam's moms side of the family! There are LOTS and LOTS of cousins and the boys had a great time! It was really nice to sit and visit with everyone and have great food! thanks to Aunt Chris and Uncle Fred for hosting the wonderful party! Sunday we awoke to a wind storm! Sometimes I absolutely love living in the country, but days like today, I second guess our choice for moving way out here. Gosh the wind is just whipping around like crazy today and the snow just blows every where! Adams parents are currently trying to get thru til Jan 31st with 1 vehicle since they left the truck in AZ. Adam and I have out truck sitting in the pole barn with insurance still on it, so we offered it to Doug. We decided today would be a great day to get it to them since they both had different plans today and tomorrow and they were struggling with how to get to all the places they both needed to go. HA thats funny when you can't even get out of the driveway! Some how Adam got the van out, and went to his dads to get his monster snow blower so we could get the truck out. It hasn't been plowed since all the snow fell on Friday plus with the plows going down the road, there was no way we could get it out without the big snow blower. Adam got back home, and we all went out to help get the truck out, then had to get the van back out! It had been snowed in again.....LOL. Adam drove the truck and I attempted to drive the van although we both got stuck in our driveway! Adam let the way, and I got to our neighbors house and the van stalled! It had snow packed under the hood! I sat there and waited a minute then started it again, and caught up to Adam who had thought I went in the ditch 1 house away from ours.....LOL! We got the truck to Doug and made it back home, but once again, couldn't get in our driveway! I started shoveling and Adam snow blowed it out! He wanted me to snap some pictures, so I did. Please remember, this was just blown out about an hour before this! Look how much snow had blown in that 1 hour! CRAZY! I got a beef stew going in the crock pot, the boys are watching Iron Man via netflix and I am cleaning the house, and doing laundry! What a day! This wind is CRAZY that's for sure!

Molly loves being outside and happened to be in the way when the snow blower went by and of course she didn't move! She'd rather stand there and try to catch the falling snow! She had a blast and was covered in snow!

Ainsley Gail was baptized today at Saint Lorenz Church in Frankenmuth where Robin and Tim belong. Adam was asked to be her Godfather (Sponsor) along with Tim's sister Chris. The service was great. She looked beautiful and slept thru the whole thing. She didn't like the cold Holy water when the Pastor poured that on her head, but she didn't cry, just kind of flung her arms in the air and wiggled a bit. After the service, we enjoyed a great lunch at the Robert's house.

Yeah!!! Adam's team had their game faces on tonight and we pulled out a win. It was a close game, although other then the very first coupke of shots, I don't think we were down the rest of the game. It was tied 15-15 at one point, but we won 39-29! Not sure who we play next week, but the following week is a VERY touch intense team, and I don't know if we are ready for them yet! Oh well. It's fun to go watch anyways! WTG honey! Love going to your games, and I'm glad you guys had a good night tonight!

Hey Papa, we just wanted to show you that Bryce's leg is fine! Even after a few hours from the snow mobile coming down on his leg, there is only a slight red mark and he wanted to go for a ride on it also. Adam came home and asked if he's afraid of the snowmobile now, and I said nope...we took it for a spin around the yard and in the fields already! He is fine and I hope you know we understand it was an accident!

(no that's not his undies either, it's the bottom of his sweatshirt....he had to hide his undies and he held the sweatshirt to make sure it didn't ride up, LOL)

We are heading into Bay City to go to Adam's game and get some new snow pants. I did have to tie an older pair of Drew's on Bryce today b/c he wanted to go back outside! LOL

A not so good start to our basketball season!

Adam had his first basketball game for the season, and it was a bit embarrassing. Our guys were extremely rusty and basically got their butts spanked! We lost 51 to 33. I don't think we had more then 10 points in the first half. It was pretty ugly. It was great to go watch him play because I really do enjoy going to his games, but it was pretty bad. Adam did play with his still sore finger, and he is still wearing his ankle brace but he said on the way home, he wasn't able to grab the ball like he wanted to with his left hand, because that finger is still sore and it's the longest finer, so it gets hit first. All the guys had a bad game, including Adam who missed 2 lay ups, and only scored while at the free throw line. I think he had fun and thank goodness he wasn't pissie after! At half time, I had to laugh because Carl got them in a huddle and said, I think we are out of shape! Ya think!!! I am just very glad they didn't get put into the A league and aren't playing in the big gym! That would have been VERY ugly! Anyways, just wanted to post about his game, since I know Nanny reads this in FL. See you in a few days actually!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Just wanted to wish all my family and friends a Happy Thanksgiving! I am extremely thankful for the awesome family Adam and I have! Our sons are the most precious little men in the world, and I am thankful they are both happy, healthy and wise (they think). I am thankful that my cousin's cancer has not gone to his brain, I am thankful for a brand new niece and that the new mom and baby are healthy, I am thankful for a new cousin joining her forever family with my Uncle Randy, Aunt Angel, and brother Zachery! I am thankful for loving parents, I am thankful for awesome 2nd parents (my in-laws) I am thankful for a great brother with a great family and I am thankful for a sister that I miss more then anything and an awesome family living in Florida! I know I am thankful to more, but I don't want to bore you all and I have to go make a corn souffle for our Thanksgiving dinner! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Adam's basketball schedule

Adam is once again playing on the mens league basketball in Bay City at the Community Center on the West side. He broke his finger about a bit ago, but still wants to play, so I guess we will see how this is going to work. There was talk about their team bumping up to the big gym and attempting lots more running, but for some reason, they are on B1 again, which is the small gym...PHEW!!! I thought they were dumb to bump up, as did Adam, and he's one of their best players and probably the only person on their team that don't smoke...LOL Anyways, here is his schedule for those interested. His team is once again, Oakland Orthopedic.

Drew's birthday party

Drew turned 12 on Friday and he had 5 friends come over and spend the night. They played basketball in our pole barn, we did a pinata, they played bloody murder outside, and they played downstairs on the pool table, the PS2, the WII and the air hockey table. They were VERY well behaved, and had Adam and I laughing all night. Someone came up with the idea that the first person to fall asleep was going to get their face written on, so of course they were all afraid to fall asleep. I thought it was funny at first, but then I was getting tired and didn't wanna wait til they fell asleep. I went to bed but layed there watching TV for a bit, then went to see if anyone was sleeping. Drew's friend Scott was sleeping on the couch, so Travis grabbed the marker and gave Scott a mustache. The boys were laughing so hard that they woke Scott up. He woke up, and told them he wasn't sleeping, so don't even try drawing on his face, not knowing they already did. He looked in the mirror and I snapped a few pictures. It was super funny! He was mad but was a good sport. It was washable marker anyways! (I hid the permanent ones)

They all crashed on the living room floor or on the couch, so I had to snap some pictures. In the morning, Adam and I made them french toast and bacon! I think they had a great time. I know we did a lot of laughing. My stomach was hurting, I was laughing so hard!

Don't ask, LOL. Scott was absolutely hilarious!

Just wanted to post a quick shout out of Congratulations to the new mommy and daddy! Robin and Tim welcomed a new baby girl into the world this morning at 9:36am. I don't want to ruin their fun and tell everyone her name, UNTIL she has posted it on the other blog OR I've been given the ok to do so, but mom and baby are fine. Robin did have a scheduled c-section this morning because yesterday in an ultrasound, the baby was measuring at 10lbs 11oz. She ended up weighing 9lbs 8 oz and was 21 1/2in long! Her name is VERY cute and VERY different. I'm hoping to go see her tomorrow, as mom and baby want their rest today! So CONGRATULATIONS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY Roberts!

Happy Birthday Drew!

WOW, it's very hard to believe but 12 years ago tonight at 8:36pm, Adam and I became parents for the first time! I can't believe I've had a child call me mommy for 12 years now! How he has changed my life! As many of you know, Drew was born with complications, and had surgery when he was 2 months old! Drew is now and will also be my hero. Drew has over come a heck of a lot more then I've ever had to! Drew...I know you get on here and read Mommy's blog and I want you to know that your one special little "man" and that I love you very much! I hope you enjoy your wonderful day and have a great party tonight with all your friends! You are growing up way too fast! You have brought so much joy to our lives and I wouldn't change it for the world! I can't believe 1 more year and we will have a teenager running around the house! Lord help me, LOL.

I received another e-mail last night from my cousin about her husband Dan. He had gone in Monday for an MRI to see if his cancer had spread to his brain, as they figured that would be it's next step. They finally received good news and it has NOT! Chemo will start in Traverse City on December 1st and he will be in the hospital for 5 days and off for 2 weeks, this will continue for 3-4cycles. This MAY hit him pretty hard. The Oncologist said his prognosis is Grade level "GOOD." Thanks everyone for all the prayers! I told my cousin we were doing our part down here for him, at least as much as we could! This picture may help you put a picture to all this cancer stuff. this picture is of my cousin, and their daughter! She is also pregnant in the pic but you can't see her belly!

Also some more great news. I have an Aunt and Uncle that have not been able to conceive a baby, and have chosen to adopt. they have a son named Zachery and now on Nov 25th they will have their daughter Mayah. She will be with her forever family just in time for the holidays! Both of their children are from South Korea! Please pray that Mayah has a safe trip, and they all have an easy adjustment to the new situation. I know when Zachery was finally with his forever home, he had a rough time adjusting to different things here! (socks/carpet/sleeping situations) I know we are all excited about meeting her on Thanksgiving! God Bless.

One more quick good news postie. My best friend from H.S went into labor yesterday. She had her brand new baby boy last night at 9:30pm. Mom and baby are fine! His name is Jace Lee! Congratulations to the whole family (which includes me, since she is married to my cousin LOL)

Michigan's first snow fall?!?!

So there wasn't a HUGE amount of snow that fell in our area on Sunday evening, but as soon as Bryce saw we had some on the ground, he was in his snow pants, jacket, boots, hat and gloves and ready to go! He was able to make some snow balls to throw at his grandparents as they came over to eat dinner with us. Drew did eventually get bundled up and go out after awhile, but I was inside making dinner and didn't go snap any pictures of that...sry! Just wanted to share our snow fall with the families in Florida that don't get to see this white stuff anymore! Enjoy the pictures and please keep praying for my cousin Dan, as he went for an MRI yesterday to see if the cancer has spread to his brain. They won't know the results til Thursday!

HUGE PRAYER REQUEST

I just got some pretty bad news from my mom, then read it in an e-mail sent out my my Aunt. My cousin Kimmie that lives in Cadillac, her husband Dan, was just diagnosed with testicular cancer, and had surgery yesterday. Then they did a cat scan and found out that the cancer has spread to both his lungs and he needs to start a very aggressive chemo once he is healed from surgery! He will only be 42 in December. He is a proud daddy to a beautiful little girl and is expecting his son in March! Please keep them in your prayers! They need all the prayers they can get at this point! This is very scary because I was just watching the today show yesterday morning, and Matt was talking to a young man that has lung cancer and they said the survival rate is 15% for those patience's diagnosed with this! NOT SO GOOD!

A HUGE step for ME!!!

Although this may seem like a small step to others, I took a huge step this morning, and signed back up for college. I am officially a DELTA COLLEGE student. I talked to a counselor this morning and some what figured what I wanted to be when I grow up. He was super nice and explained a lot to me. I know I want to get into physical therapy, but I am unsure how far I wanna go with it. I could just be an assistant and get that done at Delta, other then doing my clinicals, OR I could become a physical therapist with pursuing my degree either at CMU or UofM Flint campus. This is super big for me, since I gave up my schooling to have children. Although I LOVE my 2 boys to death, the store closing has turned into something really big for me. I need to better my future and make sure I can afford to send my children to college! I showed them my student ID card and they both said they were proud of me, which brought tears to my eyes! I want nothing more then to make my children proud of their mommy! So please wish me luck. I sign up for classes tomorrow. : ) IF anyone has any pointers for me or any advice, please feel free!

Happy Birthday Molly!

Our basset hound turns 1 today! YEAH!!! Hard to believe we've had her almost a year already. What an absolute joy she has been to have. The kids love her to death. She is a very good puppy. Such a lover. We couldn't have asked for a better pup! She got spoiled today on her birthday! I went to Frankenmuth after voting, and bought her a new toilet brush (yes a toilet brush, her favorite chew toy) a small birthday cake and 2 bones, 1 for her and 1 for Daisey! We don't want any fighting, LOL. When the boys got home from school today, they saw the toilet brush and gave that to her right away! She loved it. I'd rather buy her a new one then have her chew on ours...ewwwww. After dinner tonight we sang to her, and she ate her birthday cake, then the boys gave both dogs their new bones. My little goblins (well not so little anymore)

Thursday I picked the boys up from school, then we picked up "G" who had just gotten home from AZ at midnight the night before, and we were off to Johnson's.......FINALLY! Nothing like waiting til the day before Halloween to get to the pumpkin farm, LOL. I worked there a few days this season, so on the really nice days when we planned on going, I had to work. So anyways, we finally made it there. This is an annual thing with us, so we had to get there. We met my mom there, who works there full time during the Halloween season. We took some pictures, then the boys went into the soy maze designed for kids. They ran thru that a few times, then we were off to the big corn maze. We took a map which I wanted from the beginning, cuz then I'd know where I started and where I was, instead of trying to find on the map where we were in the middle. As soon as we got in there, the boys ran and before we knew it, they were no where to be found. My moms and I walked thru the maze and eventually we heard the boys talking. We all found the end together, but little did we know, the boys wanted to go again. My mom went into the barn, so it was me and the boys and "G" that walked thru. The boys took us the way they went the first time, and we were out in about 4 minutes, LOL. They had found a really good broken down path that wasn't suppose to be there, and it took them to the end. Turkeys! Then we went to the characters they had and of course took some pictures! They fed the bunnies and goats too.

We would sit in the smoking section for her, although I don't think it matters if your in smoking or not in these places, it stinks like smoke all over! Friday after school, Drew went to his friends Scott's house for a sleep over/birthday party. Adam and I took Bryce up to "The Rocket" and went bowling and ate pizza since it was a cold rainy night for a football game!

Saturday afternoon we had Drew's football banquet! All the players and cheerleaders got a plaque for their efforts this season. We had good food too!

Monday night we carved our pumpkins! The boys helped clean out their insides, then drew designs on their pumpkins and used the carving tools to cut them out! Yesterday morning I went to the unemployment office for some testing and then had a career scope done. I was taking tests for over 3 hours! My brain hurt when it was done, LOL. In the career scope, it showed my interested is GREAT in law enforcement or special education. It did show some interest in what I think I'd enjoy doing. Although I did take a year of criminal justice before I had Drew. I thought that was interesting! Now I go Monday to fill out scholarship applications. Classes start again in Jan at Delta, so hopefully I can get in! Anyways, today is cleaning day, so I better get back to it! Take care!

Bryce's fundraiser

Bryce is once again selling homemade holiday apple pies or homemade apple crisp! They started this last year and it went amazingly. Basically it is what it says....the REFA (reese elementary family association) makes the apples pies and apple crisps, you buy them and can either freeze them or bake them right away. I ordered 2 pies last year and froze them and when I did bake them, they were awesome! This year they are adding the apple crisp so I can't say how good these are. They would be wonderful for the up-coming holidays! I know Cheryl bought some last year too, if you'd like to ask her how they tasted! The profit from these pies because everything is donated is 100% back to Bryce's school. I know last year it went towards the new play ground equipment. It also goes towards the teacher appreciation breakfast the school puts on at the end of the year.

Adam's plastic surgeon follow up visit

We had a 9:30am appointment today to get the stitches out. The nurse did that and Adam seemed to do pretty good. She was even a bit hesitant about the one going thru his nail, but she got it out and Adam said, "Are ya done?" LOL They seemed to come out pretty good, and all looks well according to the Dr. He was a bit short with us because he seems to think we were scheduled at 8am today but because we didn't have our card with us, we couldn't prove to him we had the 9:30 appointment. Last week when we were there, the nurse was also the Secretary, and she must have wrote us under the 8am in their book, but our card at home said 9:30. I had to check as soon as we got home, because he seemed up-set with us, and that made me a bit angry. I would never schedule an 8am, because we have to get the boys ready for school. Anyways, we did ask him about the loose bone kind of floating around and him being able to feel it, but he still seems to think it will grow back together. He said it will be a good year before he can bump it and it won't hurt. I guess we will see about mens league basketball this winter. That should be starting up here pretty soon.

We also ran a few errands while in Saginaw. When I unpacked our Halloween stuff, I found Daisey's costume, so we went to pet smart to find one for Molly. Her's isn't necessarily a costume, because we were afraid she'd chew off the parts, like the devil one had a tail, and that wouldn't last. But we did find her something to wear for Halloween. Hmmmmm surgery or will it heal?!?!

While doing Adam's bandage tonight, he seems to think the cut is getting much better but doesn't think the bone is fixing itself. He says when he wiggles his finger, he can feel the broken off piece moving! GROSS! I guess it's a good thing we go back to the Dr. on Thursday and see what he has to say! He can squeeze his finger where the stitches are a bit more then he could, and as days pass, it looks better. But we just are unsure if the bone will need to be screwed back on....hmmm I did tell him it's only been a week since he broke it, but who knows. All I can do is pray that he won't need surgery when we go back on Thursday!

Tomorrow, I will post a few videos on here of Drew's football. They finished their season on Saturday. For now, I am off to bed. I actually worked today at Johnson's pumpkin farm for 7.5 hours. It was fun though and I got paid! LOL

Adam's Dr. up-date

Adam and I went to see Dr. Allport this morning. He was very nice! He looked at Adam's wound and cleaned it up (Adam said he was a bit rough) and basically after looking at the x-rays seems to think it will heal itself. He said the break is about a millimeter from the end of the bone, so hopefully it will just fuse back together. He does want to see him again a week from Thursday to take the stitches out and get a better look at it. It's still a little red and banged up, but all looks good. PHEW! He did take the whole day off today, so we enjoyed an afternoon together, and plans on doing the same when he gets the stitches out! Some of my family members have asked me to take pictures of the stitches, so I did tonight when my mom was over and changed his gauze. This picture is much prettier then it would have been before the stitches, but it's still not very pretty! Anyways, all looks good, so thanks for the prayers! ALSO, I did take a picture of his finger before the stitches, but not from the under side which was much worse, so if anyone wants to see that, let me know. That one I will not post on here! EWWWWW The break pretty much goes in the same direction as the stitches, because we have the CD of his x-rays! It's on a diagonal like that!

Adam's Dr. appointment

I called the Dr this am and he can't see him til tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10am. So we won't know much more til after that. No idea what his plans will be, but Adam says he is staying at work all day today unless he is in too much pain! Will keep you UTD though. Say a prayer for him please!

Our fun filled Sunday!

Sunday morning started out wonderful, as Bryce lost his 2nd tooth. It was wiggly for awhile, and he finally pulled it out. So now he has a big gap on the bottom of his mouth, as both teeth came from the bottom middle! He is too cute and growing up too fast. He came down with $1.00 this morning and was very excited!

About 1pm, we met my dad at the Trinity Cemetery in Reese with his splitter and split the huge pieces of wood that had been cut up. They filled our truck and my dads truck, and on the VERY last piece they were splitting, Adam's hand slid down in between the wood and the splitter, and down the arm went to split the wood. My dad was running the splitter and had NO idea his hand went down there until Adam yelled UP UP UP!!! My dad took it up, and Adam yanked his hand out. His finger had been crushed! THE VERY LAST PIECE!!! AHHH We wrapped it in napkin, hooked the splitter onto our truck and took off for home to change vehicles. We dropped Bryce off at Drew's friends house where Drew was at, and Adam and I were off to St. Mary's Med Express. The crushing happened about 3:20pm, and we didn't leave St. Mary's til about 7pm. He got a tetanus shot, and I think he said 4 x-rays. They numbed his finger because it was cut pretty bad, and he stitched that up with 7 stitches. He also broke the end of his finger. It's a clean break, but it goes on a diagonal at the very tip, even further down then his last knuckle. We stopped and saw my mom at the pumpkin farm where she is working for the season, where she told me my dad called her and was crying, because he was running the arm, and feels terrible. I do want him to know it was an accident and it is NOT his fault! We grabbed the boys, went home for them to shower, and I was off to get his medicine. Our prescriptions can only be filled at rite aids, so I took off to Caro. I found out the only rite aid pharmacy opened past 6:30pm is the one off 675 where we just were. So I was off to that one. Today we have to call a Plastic Surgeon to see what he wants to do about the broken tip off his finger. I don't see that they would just let it heal, because it seems like it would just hang there, but because of the trauma to his finger and the 7 stitches, it is so swelled up! I don't know how much sleep I got last night, but I know it wasn't much. I finally got Adam to climb into bed about 12:30am after falling asleep in the chair. Once he was in bed, I kept rolling over to see if he was sleeping, and waiting for him to punch me and tell me he needed another pain pill. I also kept looking at his finger and thinking this was all a bad dream! NOPE he woke up with a HUGE wrapped middle finger, so he looks like he is always flipping me off! LOL He has a great attitude about it, but gosh I feel so bad for him. He even went to work today until I call the plastic surgeon! What a trooper! I guess the 2 best things out of all this is that it WAS my dad running the arm and not Bryce who may have just kept going down when Adam yelled UP UP UP! And he broke the finger on his left hand, and he is right handed! I will spare you the picture I snapped before the Dr. came in b/c it's pretty gross, but I have a pretty cool 1 on my phone that isn't gross if anyone wants to see that. It's of the break! Please say an extra prayer for Adam today that he be strong when going to the plastic surgeon as I know he is going to play with that finger that is hurting so bad and that IF he needs surgery to put the bone back on, that all goes well with that. I of course will keep everyone UTD! Thanks guys!

HA!!!!! FINALLY! Drew's football team won their first game last night! 22-13! It was very exciting! I am learning how to put videos on here a bit, so on my "day off" tomorrow, I may attempt to put 1 of his tackles on! His name was announced 3 times for tackling! He was actually involved in 4 tackles, but only announced for 3...oh well! YEAH DREW!!! It was also parents night, so Adam and I walked on the field with him and were announced as well! That was their last home game. Anyways, I'll see what I can do about the video part tomorrow....we have too much to get done today! Just wanted to share with everyone that they finally won! We are now 1-4! Better then 0-5! WTG DREW!!!! WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!

Friends and family that are preggers

OK, so after being shocked with some friends blogs last night, I felt the need to ask for some prayer requests. I have a few family members and friends that are preggers and I just wanted them to know they are in our thoughts and prayers that all goes well. I'll start with family. Robin (Adam's sister) is due November 17th with a baby girl. Their first child!
My cousin Courtney is pregnant not sure about when she is due, but I know she still has awhile to go. My 43 year old cousin Kimmie is pregnant with a boy. She is due March 20th. They have a daughter already and all is great with this boy, being that she is "older" they had an amnio and everything looks normal. I should also tell you all that they waited so long because she had some sort of female cancer (although they kept that a secret) so the chances of her getting pregnant was slim to none and now they are expecting number 2! I am sure my mom will know what female problems she had but I don't remember!

Now onto friends.....my best friend growing up is expecting number 2 in 6 weeks! They have an adorable little guy already! The family I used to babysit for, Dawn and Joe are expecting another child! They have 2 amazing sons already! Then for the shocker that made me want to write this post.......the couple that bought our house in Richville just over 2 years ago already have a cute little girl and will soon hear the sounds of 6 more little footsteps in their house! They found out they were pregnant about a month ago, then went for an ultrasound on Tuesday and found out she has 3 in the oven! TRIPLETS!!! AHHHHHH They will have 4 babies under the age of 15 months when these babies are born!

CONGRATS to you all, and please know your in our thoughts and prayers for happy and healthy pregnancies, deliveries and babies! IF I forgot anyone, I am sorry! Everyone reading this, please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers as well!

(I am thinking instead of looking for another job I should start doing day care again! LOL)

Bryce's road rash

Friday night we went to my parents for dinner and to visit. My parents had not seen Bryce ride his bike without training wheels, so I took his bike and helmet with us. I had also loaded up some big rocks we didn't want from the old landscaping in our front yard, so my mom could put them in her rock garden. While we were unloading them and with only little room in their driveways, Bryce got on his bike. Before I knew it, he was down and crying! I scooped him up right away, and carried a crying Bryce into the house to see what he had done. I kept telling him he was ok, because I really wanted to make sure he'd get back on! He did a good job this time and has quite the road rash! We of course joked that he hurt Grandpa RaRa's new black top, which put a smile on his face. He kind of forgot about it until we went to cut wood today and I had to wrap it. Tonight at dinner, I noticed he had been itching it and it had dried blood on it, so before his shower and before it was all cleaned up, i snapped 2 pictures! I am very happy to report that he did get back on his bike and proved to RaRa, KayKay, Uncle Scott, Aunt Tasha, Devyn and Dustin that he can ride without training wheels! I am extremely proud of him for trying again! Here are the pics of his owwie!

Day 3 of my big project...and a confusing sign

Ok, so I met up with Dawn and some good friends we made at the party store for lunch today. 1 of them asked us about the sign they saw at the credit union today....hmmmm no clue. He told us what it said, and that of course got us all talking. From what we have gathered, Mike Trombley (previous owner of the party store and current owner and landlord of the credit union) put a sign up and is looking into either moving the store to the corner where the credit union is currently, when they move across M46...OR...he is looking into buying the store and re-opening it! Problem with him moving it is as follows.....the credit union will not be moved into the new building until June 1st (they haven't even broke ground on the new building yet.) He'd have to put gas tanks in the ground which is quite expensive. The liquor license got stripped from Norm and is currently with whomever buys the store, and to get a liquor license in Tuscola county could take upwards of 2 years...meaning opening a store with no beer (not gonna happen!) I am NOT sitting around waiting til July to get back to work and neither is Dawn. I most certainly would enjoy working for Mike IF he's going to re-open in the old store and get the ball moving soon...but I just can't stay on unemployment (well I could) for that long...I'd go crazy and thats too long to go with a minimal amount of money every week! So here is the sign that was just put out in front of the credit union last night. (Mike was caught by a few friends putting it up)

Now onto a lighter note. I didn't get any yard work done til Adam got home. I had a few errands to run after lunch and I picked the boys up from school then did home work. Once Adam got home and while dinner was cooking, we went full force in the front yard. We finished leveling it out and put rocks around the perimeter. We also moved the rest of the huge rocks from the front yard so the lawn can be mowed. I then planted the 2 mums (in REESE colors) I ordered from Dawn's daughter in my new flower bed. I am so ready for flowers now, and want to find a cute 5 foot or 6 foot tree that cascades down. I heard a cascading peach tree is pretty, but who knows. Adam is also going to take the 2 big rocks we inherited from his grandpa Stoney into the new flower bed as the center pieces! I love the way this turned out and am very proud of it! I put a lot of hard work and sweat into this, and am very glad to be done! PHEW! Hope you all think its a great as I do! I'll post 1 before picture that was already posted so you can see what it used to look like! UGH I never did find the well either, so hopefully I don't dig too deep while planting flowers and hit it!

Day 2 of my big project

So I went outside and started working on my big project about 9am to try to get a full day in. WOW did it warm up fast. Anyways, I took a breakfast and a lunch break but basically worked full force all day. I had to quit about 3pm, because I was way too hot! My face was red and I was sweating like crazy! I may try to get another hour in while the boys are at football, just because I am about half way thru the hardest part, but I may just wait til tomorrow afternoon. I still haven't found the well or a body (LOL) but I did find a huge stump from what must have been a bush. Looks like they just decided to cover it up...UGH! I tried to get it out, but Adam is going to have to hack away at it a bit! Now with all the rocks spread all over the yard and a huge dirt pile, it really does look like a grave in our front yard! AHHH Anyways, here are some newer pictures of my progress.

So since I am unemployed, I decided that I was sick of looking at the huge ugly mound in our front yard. This morning, I was just going to clean it up, pull all the weeds, and fix the rocks that had fallen down and had weeds growing up in between the rocks, but after starting just that, I decided that more needed to be done. Since I ain't working, I have nothing but free time on my hands! LOL I called Adam to find out what he thought, because we are unsure if the well is hidden under this thing. He thought it would be fine, just to be a bit careful! I figure I started about 11am, took about a 30 minute lunch break, chatted on the phone a few times in between, had to jump the car because I had worn the battery down listening to it while working but otherwise I worked til about 4pm when the boys got home. These are my before and after pictures for today. I decided I am going to take down all the rocks around this thing (wow there are even some buried) then use them as the perimeter of a beautiful flower bed like at my mother-in-laws! I am sure this will take me a bit, but I hate the mound that was there before. I was talking to Dawn from my work today and I told her what I was doing. Her and I joked that it would look like I was burring a body...I said, oh my what if that is what is under this mound?!?! Scary! LOL Anyways, here is my progress. I will take a picture after another full day of working on it. I wanted to take Bryce bike riding tonight while the other 2 go to football practice, plus lots of shows start tonight, so I worked the afternoon and called it quits. Plus it was hurting my back!

Friday night started out with the Reese Football game VS Vassar! The good guys won 21-13....hmmm maybe it was 20-13...Gosh it's hard to watch when I don't understand football! I go there to chat and people watch...LOL. After the game I picked up my bestest friend from work...Dawn and we were off to Joe's bar! We got bombarded with questions about what happened at the store of course, but after that kind of settled down, we had a BLAST! We got lots of drinks bought for us, b/c we are unemployed...LMAO!! It was funny. We left about 11:30pm to get Kirbie K from her house since she turned 21 at midnight! We walked into her family all being at the bar and lots more drinks! I bought Kirbie a gross shot, LOL...bad Sherri...but it was funny! Kirbie was fine, but Dawn on the other hand was not. Kirbie, Dawn and 1 of Kirbie's friends did a shot of tequila and that put Dawn over the top....AHHH Anyways, after partying with Dawn on numerous occasions in the 4 years that I've known her...I personally have never seen her pray to the porcelain God at the bar...UNTIL Friday night...ohhh that poor girl! I felt so bad for her, because she just was not feeling well at all. Poor Shark (her hubby)....anyways, we had an amazing night HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBIE!!!

Saturday Bryce had a soccer game in Frankenmuth! I do believe Bryce scored in the first minute of the game! It was GREAT!!! He was so excited. I think this was their hardest game but yet the good guys came up on top! 3-2! YEAH BRYCE He loves soccer and sure puts his whole heart into it!

Drew had a football game at 3 in Vassar so after picking up a few groceries for taco salad, we ran home, made that quick, then were off to Vassar! Drew's team scored first making the score 6-0 but then the other team came back and scored 3 times! We lost yet another game! Maybe after loosing 3 games out of 3....they will be sick of loosing and really try next weekend. I will not be at the game b/c he plays in Clio at 9 and Bryce plays in Frankenmuth at 10! Anyways...GL Drew we know you guys can win a game!

After Drew's game, we ran home quick, Drew jumped in the shower and we were off to Frankenmuth again for a get together at Robin and Tim's house. There were lots of kids so the boys had a great time! Daddy played baseball and football with all the kids! No one got hurt either, so that was a bonus...lol. Anyways, we got home about 11 and now today is a day to relax and cut up some wood...oh fun! The boys are also doing homework that they like to put off til the last day...turkeys!

Earlier in the week, I had taken Bryce into Reese to ride his bike without training wheels. I know he is late, but he just wasn't interested last summer and we were bad parents and didn't take him out this summer. The boys had gone with "G" and Papa to their friends cabin a few weeks ago, and Bryce wouldn't even try the 2 wheel bike for papa, so I knew we had to try! He also just got asked to go camping with a friend in a few weeks in Bay City and the friends mom said, "bring his bike" and I though UT OH! So we were off to parking lots in town. We met "G" at Trinity and after me barley starting him...he was OFF!!! He did amazing! He did fall a few times, just b/c the darn curbs ran out in front of him..LOL but nothing major. He sat for a few minutes and wanted right back on! The next day we took him to the HS parking lot to show daddy. I video taped and Adam showed him how to start! He did great! He is now a starting and stopping bike riding machine! He loved it too! "G" took a few pictures, so enjoy!

Robin's baby shower

Just wanted to show off a picture of my pregnant sister in law at her shower! Her shower was yesterday. All went well even though it was pouring outside! Robin and Tim are due November 17th for their first child and the ultrasounds say it's a GIRL! Name is picked out, but only mommy and daddy know so far. the rest of us will find out when she is here! Drew's football schedule....sry

I didn't realize I didn't have Drew's football schedule on my blog. We just go to their web site, but unless I tell you what that is, you wouldn't know...my bad. He played Saturday night (yes even in the rain) although while sitting there waiting for his game to start it poured, while he was playing, it didn't rain! Them poor cheerleaders for the game before him were soaked! They are all gonna be sick! Drew's team lost 6-14 I think, but wow did they try! They finally got the taste of a touch down, so we were all excited! Drew was in on a good block (knock down) whatever, and "G" was screaming because she was so excited! He is also running much faster when someone on the other team gets a break away. He is 1 of the first couple down there trying to knock him down! VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! Anyways....here is his schedule!

A GOOD LAUGH

When my worked abruptly closed a week ago, Dawn and I had cleaned the store out, taking some things home. The schools couldn't' take the opened 3 gallon ice cream buckets so we took a few that we would eat. Those things take up so much room in our freezer, so after the boys ate it a few nights, I transferred it into a smaller bucket. I thought the dogs would enjoy some ice cream, so I called them both out. Molly was the only 1 interested, so while standing in the living room, watching Drew's football game tape from last night, I see the 3 gallon ice cream bucket flying around in the air. I look and see the Molly has her head stuck in it, and isn't sure how to get it out! By no means was it tight, all she needed to do was tip her head down...LOL OMG we all stood there laughing so hard at her. She backed herself under the kitchen table, and just sat there. Once I snapped a few pictures, Drew took it off her, and told her not to pick her head up again! OMG we were laughing so hard! I even had to wipe down her face and ears!!! Anyways.....it was super funny and just wanted to share! Thanks for the laughs Molly, you sure are a funny puppy!

Bryce had his 2nd soccer game tonight. We noticed he needs to work on goal kicks. While in the goal, at 3 different attempts to kick it out, 1 time he fell on his hinnie, 1 time he barley kicked it and the 3rd time, he finally got ahold of it! We couldn't help but giggle a little. Bryce did miss 1 of his practices, so maybe thats when they did goal kicks. He had never done 1 until tonight. O well...we will get there. We ended the game tonight tied 2-2. Bryce didn't have any goals, but not for lack of trying. He did let 1 shot get thru on him though. At that point, the game was then 2-1 bad guys but then the good guys caught right up! He said on the way home that the other team was good. That's good for him to learn that he can't win every game! WTG buddy, I can't wait til Saturday am, so see your next game!

Drew had football practice tonight. When Adam got home, he handed me his football pictures! I took a few pictures of them with my camera so I can post them on here, LOL. "G" and KayKay and any Aunts that read this....you have pictures at my house from the packages, so don't worry about printing them off here. Hope to see some of you at Drew's next game at 7pm Saturday night in Caro. He plays 1 game under the lights on the football field, and that's his night, so it should be pretty exciting! News in our household lately

So after being a bum and cleaning the house all week, hardly even showering, LOL I finally was able to call about unemployment! WOW do I feel like a looser, but I guess when your screwed out of your job very abruptly, you got to do this to keep your family in tact. It is NO fun. I think it is more work to do this then to find another job. I am really looking forward to getting lots done around our house in the next month or so, but I most certainly miss going to work. I did get a phone call on Tuesday morning that the bank already owns the store, and the locks were changed! Norm lied to us and told us he had 2 weeks, but honestly, the more I find out, I am not surprised he lied about that. I did get an e-mail from Amy Joles at the Tuscola County Advertiser, asking if I'd talk to them about what happened. I called, but haven't heard a thing. My sis-in-law texted me late last night to tell me TV5 was at the store and it was on the news last night at 11pm. I guess they talked to a local customer, but couldn't reach Norm....big surprise! She said they said the store was for sale on e-bay...but I couldn't find it. I do hope and think the chances of us being back in there are very high, but I know it will be awhile. I know there is LOTS of interest! Dawn and I as managers there, have already been told we are wanted to "run" the whole store, while a few owners go partners and work their other jobs! How cool is that!

While cleaning the house, I have decided to have a MAJOR garage sale SOON! Adam and I have lots of stuff we don't want, including the boys wooden swing set from the Richville house (Adam says he's not putting it back up) and the boys HUGE train table and some train pieces. I am not sure when I am opening it, but it will be all week next week, if not some days this weekend. I am just trying to sell stuff that we no longer use to keep our heads above water! Please pass on the news......lots of goodies my kids have out grown. Including fishing poles, hockey and sports stuff, home decor...movies, ps games, ps2 games....whatever they don't use I am selling...LOL Sick of all the clutter laying around. So......I am trying to keep my spirits up, but I am bored at home. I haven't gone anywhere in 3 days! Laundry is caught up, beds have clean sheets, house is clean so today I am finally going to Saginaw for a few things then Bryce has a soccer game at 6pm in Frankenmuth! I also get to go be a looser and go to MI works...oh fun! : ( Hopefully life will turn around sooner then later! This sucks!

Boys games this weekend

I know it's Tuesday and I am finally finding time to post pictures on here about their football and soccer games, but that's only because my life was turned up-side down Friday night! Anyways.....at 11am, Bryce had his first soccer game in U8. This is a big step because there are no girls and there are goalies! He was goalie first which he LOVED doing! They put a shirt on top of their regular game shirt so you know who the goalie is, so of course I had to snap a few pictures!

After being goalie for the 1st quarter, he was defender for the 2nd two, then he went to offence. While on defence, he scored 2 goals!!! He was the only boy on their team to make 2! They won 5-0 (maybe 5-1...I don't remember!) It was so exciting. Plus he is the youngest on his team, because we kind of had an option with his birthday to either bump him this year to U8 or not to. We choose to because we wanted him to get a challenge! WTG Bryce!!! We have another soccer game Thursday night!

After Bryce's soccer game, we headed to Vassar for football! Drew is number 10 in the picture. We sat in the bleachers, they have cheerleaders, they announce all the team mates...it was really neat! We didn't know what was going to happen, so it was pretty exciting! Vassar JV1 (Drew's team) played against Frankenmuth JV. We ended up loosing 22-0 but I think it was a HUGE learning experience. Drew's team doesn't do much throwing nor much defence while at practice and I think that's what hurt us. He did have practice last night, but I typically stay home and have dinner ready when they get home, so I don't know how much they practice those items. He plays at 7pm in Caro this Saturday night (their game under the lights) so it should be really neat if anyone is sitting around doing nothing! I don't know much about football, but I know he is the hiker! LOL He did get a great block, and I am "paying" a friend for a great picture he took of that block, so I will post that once I get it! Great job Drew on your very first ever football game! It was so exciting to see you out there playing, and to hear them announce your name!

Well, from what we have heard, Norm was a snake for the last 3-4 months, and owes everyone and every business he was involved with - money! He hadn't made payments in awhile to basically everyone and it finally caught up to him. He skipped town, and thinks he will get away with things he did. I won't bore you with details, but he's in MAJOR trouble!

The good news is....MANY MANY MANY people have talked about going partners and opening the store back up. Nothing right away, because I do believe the bank will own the store in 2 weeks, so it will be at least that long. Dawn, my-self, my mom and a co-worker were up there cleaning our butts off today. Dawn and I met at 6am to make coffee for our regular customers. Many didn't know a thing until they walked in and saw the store EMPTY!! We donated all the big ice cream tubs, pizza condiments and ice cream cones to Reese Elementary and Middle school, and to St. Michael's (where our kids go.) We had lots of laughs and talked to lots of friends that stopped up to wish us the best and told us to keep our chins up! So anyways, we are filing for unemployment tomorrow together, and going to enjoy some time off...but we do plan on being back!

Enough rambling on...I have lots to get done today, so tomorrow I can start on my honey-do-list....LOL

WOW WHAT A FRIDAY NIGHT I HAD!!!

So here goes nothing.....RICHVILLE CITGO is CLOSED! After 4 years of employment for whom I thought was a great boss/friend we were all screwed over and I am EXTREMELY PISSED OFF! We found out at 6:30pm Friday night that we are unemployed! LOVELY! Norm stopped paying his bills and as far as we understand...the bank will own the party store in a few weeks. It is emptied and closed as of 9pm Friday night. HA Thanks Norm.....more info on it all later, as of now........I am extremely hurt-tired-mad-sad-shocked-pissed-upset-scared-worried- so I will leave it at that for now. Lots and lots of tears have been shed and some extremely close friends that I have made in 4 years will be dearly missed. Enough for now or I will start crying again! Off to bed

1st day of school

Drew's alarm went off at 6:41am.....he came down on his own as usual. I went up to get Bryce who was laying in his bed awake and EXCITED to start 1st grade. He jumped right in my arms and said he had been laying there after sleeping for a long time! LOL They ate breakfast and got dressed, brush teeth and put on shoes. I of course grabbed my camera to take 1st day of school pictures. Bryce stood right up with his back pack on and smiled for me. Drew....ha....I had to threaten to take a picture tomorrow when he gets on the bus OR today when I dropped him off, I could go inside and get a picture of him by his locker....LOL. He stood up and smiled at home (no friends around) Anyways, I dropped Drew off outside at the middle school. I took Bryce to his school, asked the helpers where he stands when he gets off the bus tomorrow, and we stood in line. I was the only mom with a 1st grader so I asked if he wanted me to leave or stay. He said to stay. When the bell rang, we went inside, found his hook outside his class room, he hung up his back pack, opened it up, grabbed out his folder, gave mom a kiss and he was off. I got out to the van, text Adam to tell him they were in class and I started crying! UGH!! This is my 2nd year with Bryce gone all day, so I thought I'd be ok...guess not. I took today off work so I could take them to school and pick them up...but now what do I do?!?! I guess I am going raspberry picking with Cheryl. Got to keep my-self busy! Adam told me I could split wood...LOL NOT!!! Anyways...here are their pictures!

Last day before school

Today we slept in because I took the day off. I wanted to spend the boys last summer vacation day at home with them. I made pancakes and sausage for breakfast, then we layed around and watched tv. About 1pm, we took off to Saginaw where the boys played at the big park by Walmart, while I ran into Sams club for a few items. Then we were off to see "Fly me to the moon!" It was a 3D kids animated movie. Kind of cheesie, but the boys liked it and it was about the only kid movie playing. It was extremely expensive due to the cool glasses we got and I guess they have to get a different screen for the 3D to work. Oh well.

I also wanted to show Uncle Tim the school shoes Drew picked out a few weeks ago. We figured he would think they are cool, so I snapped a picture of them. Since I took a picture of Drew's new shoes, I assumed Bryce would be up-set so I took a picture of his as well. They will never look this clean again anyways! Both boys found great deals on shoes at the out-lets so they each got 2 pairs. Bryce is still learning to tie so we did 1 tie and 1 velcro.

We are going to attempt to allow Drew to stay up 30 minutes later then Bryce and see how that goes. He is going into the 6th grade so it's only fair. We shall see how he gets up in the morning! Anyways....off to get laundry finished.

Where do I begin. The last few weeks have been so busy. I didn't post the pics from our trip to kokamos a few weeks ago, so here they are.

We also went to dinner then the driving range in Reese a few weeks ago, and yes I even hit some balls.

Bryce got a hair cut before school starts again. He didn't get lots off, but at least he can see.

We went to 1st grade open house on Wednesday. He has Mrs. Church and was really happy. He has a few friends he knows in his class but will also make lots of new friends. They even have their own desks this year. Big step.

We got into the middle school a few times this week so Drew could try his new locker and get things ready for Tuesday. He isn't that worried about this year, since he has his foot in the door already, and mom is much more comfortable this year as well.

Drew had a football scrimmage on Thursday night. They played in Millington, against their youth teams. Although there was no score keeper and no refs, Drew's team won both scrimmages. 12-0 and 18-0. On the first play, Drew was the center and hiked the ball, then he blocked and the quarter back ran up the middle for a TD!

The boys spent the night at "G" and Papa's last night, so Adam and I went to Applebees for dinner then came home to watch a movie together on the couch. What a nice peaceful dinner and movie.

After watching Miss Molly for awhile, I realized she was in heat. UGH Oh fun fun trying to put a size 6 diaper on a 10 month old basset hound. She is actually very good once it's on...but she thinks I want to rub her tummy when I come by her, so she rolls over. Nearly impossible to get a diaper on a dog while laying on their back!!

My little man is growing up!!! Someone lost his first tooth this morning while at "G" and Papa's. He did make a phone call and tell his he pulled it out, and I was about in tears. I was happy because he had been wiggling it FOREVER, but I was sad because I wasn't there and because he is growing up.

Football practice started last Monday. Last week, they just wore their helmets and cleats. This week, they had to wear all their pads! I went to Drew's first practice with all this, on Monday. I snapped 2 pictures without him knowing, because he told me I wasn't allowed to take pictures or cheer! LOL Moms are so embarrassing! Anyways...here are his pics. Drew lives another day

PHEW last night was Drew's first football practice! DANG I wish I would have taken a picture of him after...EWWWW he was gross and sweaty and instantly had to shower. I ran to get some groceries while they were practicing, but Adam and Bryce stayed to watch ( I guess the parents were suppose to stay) Adam said he came over for a drink about half way thru and he wasn't trying hard enough b/c he wasn't breathing hard. He also told him he wanted to quit! When all was said and done, he said he liked it and didn't want to quit. Adam and I kept telling him the first day would be the hardest, that it would get easier to do all the different things, the more he tries them. He survived to go to another practice tonight, and tomorrow and Thursday! lol He has football practice for AT LEAST 3 weeks Mon - Thur from 6-8 then school starts and it goes down to 3 nights, but then games start also. From what I hear...we will be EXTREMELY busy! fun fun

Today we went to the new childrens hands on museum in Saginaw. We went with Grandma Cheryl and Papa Doug. It was lots of fun. Mom snapped tons of pictures, so enjoy!

CONCERT!!!

We got home from vacation on Friday. On Saturday after picking the dogs up from "A walk in the woods" Dawn (from my work) and I went to Ford Field to see an amzaing concert. We first met up with her sister Bonnie and Bonnie's friend Suzie who live near there. We met them at Hockey Town Cafe for a few beers and a few shots! The concert was GREAT! Gary Allen opened up, then Leann Rymes took the stage, then came the man we went to see KEITH URBAN!! then the head liner was Kenny Chesney! We listened to Gary Allen while walking around and eating, stood around watching bits and pieces of Leann Rymes then took our seats. For those of you that don't know Dawn, she is a HUGE Keith Urban fan. Her husband even bought her a license plate for her vehicle that says ILOVEKU. It was great. Dawn was screaming and even crying before he came on stage. They played a song, and made it look like he was walking down the road to the stage and he appeared! Dawn was CRYING and SCREAMING!!! It was so funny! He did an amazing show. I had never seen him in concert. Dawn says this was her 11th time seeing him. He was on stage for a little over an hour. Kenny Chesney came on and did a great show too!! He even had Uncle Cracker on stage with him for 1 song! Anyways, it was great. Dawn and I had an amazing time along with her sister and cousin. Way home from Canada

On our way home last Friday night, we were sitting at customs waiting our turn, when Drew noticed a HUGE something trying to squeeze thru the over sized load area. There was NO way this thing was going to fit. Some how it had already gotten stuck, and now we watched them try to shimmy it back and forth to move the item to the side a bit, so it could go. There were 2 top type things sticking out, 1 on each side but not across from each other, so once they got the first one thru, they tried to get this huge item to shift a bit to get the other top thru. Adam thought it was a cover for something! While they were trying to shimmy this, they had to move the truck back and forth, b/c that was the only way to shift it a bit. Well while moving back and forth about 1 foot, they went a bit too far, and hit the roof!!! We heard the big scraping sound! There were probably 10 people trying to help move it, and supervise! We definitely had something to watch while sitting there waiting! WHY they thought this HUGE thing was going to even fit thru, we had no idea! It just didn't look like it was going to happen. I snapped this 1st pic while sitting there, and the 2nd one after it hit the roof! While I was trying to take the 2nd pic, a guy that was standing around supervising told me I wasn't allowed to snap pics...oops!! The 2nd one was while we were actually sitting at the customs window! It was just CRAZY!!!

African Lion Safari

On our way home, we stopped at the African Lion Safari in Canada. WOW was it great! You drive your own vehicle thru and see all kinds of animals out roaming around! We did get a baboon on our van the 2nd time we Safaried!! We had a GREAT time. I would so highly recommend this to anyone with or without kids! Real neat!

We got home Friday night about 9:30. I haven't had ANY time to do laundry let alone post, and being that I am back to work tomorrow, a post with up-dates and pics will have to wait til then, because I have 1 more load of laundry to fold and I am off to bed. 4:30am comes too early, LOL.

Needless to say, we are all home safe and sound and had a GREAT trip. More soon!

A quickie before vacation

We leave this morning for vacation, but I had a few pictures I wanted to post before then. Wednesday we got Drew's youth football equipment from Vassar so here are some pics of him in all his gear!!! He also dressed "G" up...LOL.

Wednesday night, Adam had his last league game in fast pitch. I had taken my camera there to show him Drew's pictures. They won both their games which made them the champs in their league. Here is their team pic that I took since I had my camera.

Also, I wanted to let all of you know that I checked my e-mails this morning in between packing and saw 1 from my aunt and uncle titled "It's a girl." Knowing that they had been unsuccessful in conceiving a baby after many years of trying, they adopted my cousin from South Korea. He is 3, I do believe. They have had him for about 2 and a half years now. Well they found out awhile ago that they were approved for another baby from South Korea. So now it is official and they have more news about their new baby. Her birth name is Yun-Jeong. They have named her Mayah Jeong with their last name....hehehe. They still have to wait 3-4 months to get her. She was born Feb 5, 2008. She weighed 5.5 lbs and was 19.9" long. I was hoping that everyone that reads this would keep them in your thoughts and prayers until they have their new baby girl in their arms and she is united with her forever family!!! Once that happens, I of course will be so excited and let you all know. Here are the 2 pictures my Aunt sent to us. She is adorable. She has my eyes!! LOL......LOVE HER!!!

It's been a few days...sry

I was off work on Tuesday so the boys wanted their cousins to spend the night. Adam picked them up Tuesday night after work. On Wednesday, it was really hot, so everyone spent lots of time in the pool (my-self included.) Here are some pics!!!

Friday night we took a bit of a road trip to Standish. We went to a "bump and grind" at the Fairgrounds. This is where Derby cars drive around a small dirt track with some small dips and divots in it, and crash. We'd never seen anything like this, so it was pretty cool. While we were walking to the van, we saw 1 of the cars. The boys were excited to see it up close and personal. I pulled out the camera and snapped a few shots.

Saturday about 9:45am, Papa picked the 3 boys up and they went on the boat with Uncle Al, Ryan, Brady and their cousin. It was all boys on the boat. They did some fishing, some tubing and some relaxing. I of course asked Adam to take the camera and this is what I got!! Thank you hunnie!

All 4 are showered and ready for bed. Caityln is here tomorrow and Tuesday. I am off Wed. I open Thursday, then we pack for vacation, and leave on Saturday!! YIPPIE!!!

Monday night we started watching Robin and Tim's beagle, Wrigley. He's been great, although I think he misses mommy and daddy. He normally sleeps with them, but wanted nothing to do with sleeping with Adam and I. He ended up sleeping in Molly's crate, and Molly sleeping with us both nights. He walked right in, and we never heard a peep out of him once he was in there. Molly got spoiled b/c she normally sleeps in there. We didn't want her out in the computer room alone all night b/c she is still a puppy and still chews. She's chewed the key board cable once, so we didn't want to chance that again. Wrigley did get out of the garage the 2nd time I put him outside Monday night. I screamed for Adam to come help, but all Wrigley did was run around the house and right into Adam's arms!! PHEW!!!! We make sure the garage doors are closed before they go out. Molly tends to sneak outside too and being a hound, her nose leads her away too often. The corn on 2 sides of our yard is way too tall now, and we'd loose her in there. So we are very careful about that. All 3 dogs went for a nice swim today with my-self and the kids. I'm not sure if Wrigley has ever been swimming but he seemed to enjoy it. It was so hot outside that I just had to take them in. Anyways here are a few pics!!

Thursday night we went to Adam's aunt and uncles house and watched the Frankenmuth fire works with his whole family. There was lost of good food, and great family times. They had a band there too, that was VERY good!!!

Friday night we went to the Saginaw fireworks with "G", Papa, Aunt Robin and Uncle Tim. We first had a BBQ at "G" and Papa's house, then got a game of whiffle ball in (someone had to run for Aunt Robin) although she was playing the out field and ran after a fly ball and caught it. Tim said he was waiting for her to slide on her tummy to catch it, LOL. We had fun, then left early to get good seats. We played a few games, made 1 potty trip, and 1 trip for an elephant ear and cheese fries, then the fun began. These pics are of the Saginaw fire works.

Saturday we went to the Dixie Motor Speedway to watch their eve of destruction!! It was us four, "G", Papa, Aunt Robin, Uncle Tim, cousins Delaney and Faythe, Aunt Sharon, and Uncle Mike. Before the races started, the boys and I rode on a school bus that races in the figure 8. We went around the 1/2 mile track twice, waving at Adam as we came by, then went thru the pits. The boys had a blast. We sat right in front and I was talking to our driver. We found out that he drives in the bus figure 8, and had flipped his bus in the fall last year (which we were at!!) AHHH

They had their regular races, then did a few songs in the middle of the race track. Delaney and Faythe went out to do the YMCA and the chicken dance!! WTG girls!!

They then had the figure 8 bus races. 1 of the buses flipped again this year!!! Then they had the trailer races, where the car/van/truck is pulling some sort of trailer, whether it be a boat, camper, whatever.....wow what a MESS!!! We had a blast though.

Bryce STILL has sensitive ears, and hates loud noises!! He wears his ear muff type things whenever we go someplace thats going to be loud!!

Our exciting next few days!!!

I woke up today at noon....OMG I was soo tired from working all 6 days this past week, getting up at 4:30am for 6 days in a row...UGH Plus I think knowing that I have to do it for 7 days starting tomorrow, I was trying to get caught up, and plan for the next few days!!

Anyways, I am VERY excited because my very best friend in High school, that I haven't seen in a VERY long time, is back in the US from Japan. She and her family (that I have never met) are here til Aug 3rd or so. We are planning on meeting for dinner tomorrow night!! VERY EXCITED!!! I've missed Amy to no end, and the last time they were in town, we never had a chance to meet up.

I am off to shower and possibly take the boys to putt putt before our VERY exciting family fun tonight. We are taking the boys to the Dixie Motor Speedway to see the EVE of DESTRUCTION!!! AWESOME!! Will post pics of the fire works, when I get time. Sleeping was more important to me, sry.

I've been working so much lately, b/c Dawn (from my work) is on vacation, and my boss has been having some family issues and basically needed the week off as well. He did come to work on Tuesday to do paperwork and leave checks, but didn't work today which was one of his usual days (and our pay day, which is now on Friday when he comes back to sign checks...LOL) This leaves me in charge....scary I know!!! oh well...he's been extremely stressed and NEEDS a vacation like no other. When Dawn gets back, Kirbie goes on her mission trip, when she gets back, we leave for Canada, so I don't know when Norm will squeeze 1 in. Anyways, Caitlyn has been spending lots of time with the boys (our new babysitter) and they really seem to be enjoying her here. Today they went with "G" to Great Aunt Sharon and Great Uncle Mike's in Frankenmuth to go in their big pool. Both had a great time and were VERY tired after. Tomorrow I work again, so they can sleep in, and call Caitlyn when they wake up.

Caitlyn has a myspace and I was kind of getting curious about it, so I am KIND OF getting into that now too. It's neat how you can keep in touch with family and friends all over. I have found a few long lost friends and have gotten to see our new nieces bedroom via Robin's myspace, so I guess it's cool. Will add more to that and make it more hip when I get time. I am off on Saturday this week, and Sunday next week, thats IT!!! AHH paycheck will be nice though. Tonight after dinner, I took a 2 hour well needed nap. Off to bed now, as 4:30AM comes awful early!!

Drew's big championship game!!

Drew had his championship game last night. They lost 4-6, but he definitely contributed to his team last night. He got an RBI and came home and scored a run as well. He also had some great plays in the outfield! He was a very good sport about taking 2nd which was great. Unfortunately another boy on his team was NOT!! Throwing things and acting like a baby...it was AWFUL!! Drew's team got a trophy for finishing 2nd in the play offs. Adam and I talked last night and he said he'd coach next year if Drew would play his last year he'd be able to in the majors. So hopefully he will!!

The dogs went to the vet this morning, for their bordetella and heartworm check. Daisey weighs 18 pounds and Molly is up to 43!!! AHHHHH LOL Both are at very good weighs though. Molly had to get her bordetella in her nose, and she HATED it, but he said b/c its her first time getting that, thats where it has to go. She also cried when he took blood for the heard worm check. She got some treats after so she was happy as could be!!

Daisey has a left ear infection and is getting medicine for it. She has to have drops every other day. She also got a shot to get the medicine started for the infection. She did great as usual. You can definitely tell there is a 5 year age difference with them. Molly wanted to play and run and Daisey sat and was great.

My friends daughter went and helped me, b/c my 2 were gone fishing with "G" and Papa. Thanks Melissa!!

Lumber jacks

While attempting to mow the lawn last week, I got hit in the face by 2 medium size branches that had been snapped from the wind and storms we've had lately. I decided that maybe the boys would love to cut them down today on my day off. So off we were with the ladder and some hand saws. Drew informed me that he is a grown man and if he had the chain saw, it would have been much faster. He sawed and sawed and sawed, then I had to climb up, and saw a bit cuz his arm was getting sore, then he went back up and cut the rest. Then we went to the other branch, but it was a bit too high for Bryce, so he tried cutting it lower then where it broke off, but struggled a bit. I ended up doing that 1. They did cut down all the little things that were starting to grow around the bottom of the tree and now it looks really good. I think they had a good time.
